Grönqvist House: The building was designed by Theodor Höijer and was built in 1883 in the neo renaissance style. The decorations on the facades are paintings by sculptor Karl Magnus von Wright and painter F. Uhrström. The building was built for the industrialist and consultant Fredrik Wilhelm Grönqvist, whose name it has. At the time of construction, it was the largest private building in Northern Europe.
From the 1930s onwards, the apartments in the building were converted into offices. Today, the building is owned by the insurance company Ilmarinen oy.
