Going up to the highest point on this circuit... which isn't really that high but is compared to the rest of the track. There is enough of a crest that the cars can catch some air at the top. Sadly, I was without a step ladder to really get a decent shot from the other end. Next time...

For throwback Thursday we're going for our 1m x 1m Brixton Monopoly commission from a few years back. I was pretty pleased with the final result - especially considering how long it managed to take. After a load of emails back and forth we came up with a finished design which incorporated elements from various international editions of Monopoly, some invented elements and a load of place names from around Brixton which had significance to the client. As they live near to us all the locations (including Billa's 24hr booze and Pizza Man) are somewhat familiar to me too...
Despite the fact they are known to me many spaces on the board are undoubtedly unfamiliar to just about everyone else. If, however, you do happen to be know all the place names and are particularly eagle-eyed you may even notice that we even arranged the squares so that they are grouped together logically (i.e by location and/or function) and the board follows a circuit from locations at the bottom of Brixton up to the top of Brixton Hill.

#1855 - 2013 Day 28: A stop for petrol on my way home from Lewes. Sheets of water drifting across the landscape. Lakes on the carriageways. Treacherous.
And yet people were still out doing their shopping ...
Theme was time.
I took part in a comp ran by photobox, it was a 24hour comp a new theme on the hour every hour for 24 hours. We didnt know the theme untill the hour and had 60mins to think,shoot,upload. It was a live comp so you couldnt use old photos only ones shot in the 60mins allowed.
You didnt have to do all 24 but i did ;-) I will be posting my 24 photos over the next 24 days.

My watch strap broke a couple of weeks ago. Because it was just a cheap digital, I decided to get a whole new watch. I'm not impressed by expensive watches but I love unusual things, so I grabbed this off eBay, and it showed up today. It's a Russian watch commemorating an expedition that landed planes on the North Pole in 1937, but the most unusual feature is that it has a 24 hour dial, not 12. Which, when you think about it, is far more logical, because there's no natural 12 hour cycle in the day.
Grateful for 24hour garages!!
