The light was absolutely gorgeous inside the convent. It is a place for fairytales and princesses.

It was very quiet in the early morning, with the only sounds being the wind through the trees and the birds. The sun had just peeked above the trees in the cove.
Love these kind of mornings.

First time I was in the right place at the right time for the Northern Lights. We had just pulled in to the campground and it was late so we decided to go for a walk and there they were. I ran back to the truck and grabbed my camera and tripod. The guy in this photo walked in front of me as we were shooting and stood in my shot. I was upset at first but I kind of like him in the shot.

I got this ring at a booth at Red Rocks this past Saturday. I bought it for $7 from a couple who makes jewelry. I have been wanting a ring that is Sterling silver, and there were some at that booth. But because the guy who made this started talking to me and explaining to me about it, because I asked if he had any with stones in it. He said he didn't, he said something to the effect that that was a harder skill and he wasn't that good yet, but he really enjoyed making this copper ring with this pattern on it. He said he'd sell it to me for $5, but I had to go get change in order to pay him, and when I came back his wife talked to me and I gave her the money, $7. I wanted them to have the price they were asking because of the time he took to talk to me about it. It is slightly too big but his other rings were way too big and nothing was smaller. I have worn it since Saturday.
Yesterday, I wanted to play the lottery so I picked three numbers I thought would win. The guy that processed my ticket didn't do the option I wanted, but I didn't notice until today when I looked up the winning numbers. The numbers I chose were chosen last night but in a different order, and had the guy processed it the way I wanted I would have won ($40) . I could have won $500 had they been in the exact order they were called. But last night I took the ring off to sleep and put it back on this morning. I am going to keep it on now all the time. I would like to think maybe it is a good luck charm.

Amtrak Empire Service #233 treks north towards its destination of Amtrak’s Albany-Rensselaer station. Bringing up the rear of the train are New York Central tavern lounge car #43, and the famed Hickory Creek “20th Century Limited” for the Hudson River Rail Excursions, furthermore displaying how it was back in the New York Central days. Later this afternoon, Amtrak #244 would be in charge of the trip back to New York City.
