Young Burrowing Owlet works out its flight muscles. 2019 was another banner year for me (my 7th) to observe these charming creatures. Every year I fear it will be my last, as we are losing them to human encroachment and loss of habitat. Here's hoping to see them again in 2020.

What a kick to see the burrowing owls around the Ontario airport again. I think this is the entire brood, one parent off to the left side out of sight, and I THINK the other parent is the bird in the middle back row. Steve? Susie? what do you think?
