Another day of teaching German students - most enjoyable! The good thing about the German educational system is the early finish. By 11.10am my day was over after my four hour stint and I was off to enjoy the afternoon. Headed over into France to pick up a large consignment of wine in Wissembourg for my host and her friends. A chilled stroll around the picturesque French border town and then it was back to Germany to the SBK supermarket in Dahn which I love - it sells essentials and wonderfully regional German tat such as that pictured. “Make time for happiness” basically. Not a bad maxim to go by. An evening of putting the world to rights fuelled by the odd Weinschorle helped to fulfill that maxim. Tomorrow it’s day 3 of teaching and Leberknödeln with the Head teacher....

This found dress is nice - someone moved out a few weeks ago and left three dresses in a box - I'm not overly impressed with this one.

Polskie lotnictwo używało radzieckich samolotów Jak-23 od 1950 r., jednak już w latach 1955-57 wycofano je z eksploatacji. Jedną z maszyn (używaną w 2. Pułku Lotnictwa Myśliwskiego z 7. Dywizji Lotnictwa Myśliwskiego) ustawiono ok. 1958 r. na skwerze na nowo wybudowanym osiedlu dla kadry oficerskiej pobliskiej jednostki wojskowej Lotniska Balice.

Yak-23 aircraft, Astronautów str., Kraków, January 21, 2021
The Soviet aircraft Yak-23 entered the service in the Polish Air Force in 1950 hovewer as early as in 1955-1957 all units were retired. One of the machines (used earlier by the 2nd Fighter Regiment of the 7th Fighter Division) was placed ca. 1958 on a square on the newly-built estate intended for officers of the nearby Air Force Base at the Balice Airport.

A flooded city park provided tonight's shot. My carlights provided the light on the tree. I was in the turnaround to the park entrance going back and forth, high beam, low beam...no high beam, no low beam with fog lights..... I finally got what I wanted and was trying to take the shot and a city worker arrived to empty the trash bin that I was blocking. He was in no mood to wait so I quickly took the shot and sorta' lucked out.
I went on an Alaskan cruise recently and found this scene while ashore in Juneau. The flag is made from poster paper so I wonder if it originally had 13 stripes and some were cut off ....

Not a real space photo. Light art.
Testing new light painting/plastic combo for dense, small starfield and elliptical galaxies.
Single exposure. Nebula pattern created using new Waterworld technique - 100mm lens. Galaxies using light painted plastic, and star field using LED's and laser, some with 0.003-inch (8X) flyfishing line on lens to create cross-shaped diffraction patterns - 16-35mm lens at 20mm-35mm. No other significant Photoshop manipulations, except image resize.
