The Anita Garibaldi promenade, known above all as the Nervi promenade, is an important tourist place in Genoa in the Nervi district. It starts from the small port of Nervi, from the mouth of the stream of the same name, up to the ancient port of Capolungo with a total length of almost 2 km.
The walk originates from an ancient path which, since 1823, was used by the fishermen and farmers of the area to reach the fishing spots or the agricultural lands bordering the sea at the time. Given the suggestive landscape, provided above all by the rocky and jagged coast of Nervi and the panorama of the promontory of Portofino, in 1862 the Marquis Gaetano Gropallo had the construction work started on a real promenade after a long project.
The promenade belongs to the municipality of Genoa which named it on 19 June 1945 after Anita Garibaldi, wife of Giuseppe Garibaldi. Today it is a destination chosen by Genoese citizens and an attraction for its tourists. In the summer it is also a destination for many bathers and some fishermen, who can access the sea thanks to access ladders on the rocky coast which often form real natural pools. Along the promenade there are numerous clubs and some bathing establishments.

Norfolk Southern train 14Z heads north past the Audley control point on the H-line, north of Berryville, Virginia, on July 7, 2023. This location on the railroad is named for the farm it passes through here, as seen on the signs at the left.
