Union Pacific railroad GP9 239 at Council Bluffs, Iowa on an unknown day in January 1963, Kodachrome by Dick Rumbolz, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 239 was built in January 1954 ( c/n 19125 ), retired in August 1978, sold for scrap to Naporano Iron & Metal, Newark, New Jersey in January 1979.
There's never much in the tank the day after the night before.

Sh2-239 is a reflection nebula and a collection of Herbig-Haro objects embedded in the dark cloud LDN1551. The brightest part of Sh2-239 is catalogued as the Herbig-Haro object HH102. It is located near the star T Tauri within the Taurus dark cloud complex some 450 light-years distant. Estimates indicate that the star forming LDN1551 region contains a total amount of material equivalent to about 50 times the mass of the Sun.

I see you just bobbing up Crimson Rosella - I believe this is a male going by the fullness of his wonderful colours. It is the first time I've sighted a male in the garden. When I spotted him, I grabbed my camera & before loosing the chance I decided to shot through the glass doors , I knew an attempt to go outside would frightened him off. As it was I quickly captured this & by the next shot he had flown the coup! Thank you for stopping by & looking at my images, your comments are welcome.

Go Ahead Ireland (Ballymount Depot) Wright Streetlight 12125 passes through Lucan Village on a Route 239 working from Liffey Valley to Blanchardstown.
The 239 was once a strong preserve of the streetlights, but in the past 12 months in particular Deckers have been popping up on the route more and more,particularly at weekends.
