Success (well, actually a mile or so south of that timetable point, at Cedarville), only about 48 hours later than planned originally....
This recently-repainted beauty, the Norfolk Southern's Reading Company heritage unit (yes, the railroad you take a ride on in the game of "Monopoly") was supposed to transit my area on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
It would take too long to describe all the things that conspired to delay this (although it would be slightly shorter than "War and Peace", or "Gone With the Wind"), including spending about 24 hours in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, but here it is on the morning of April 13, 2023, at Cedarville, Virginia, heading up NS manifest train 11Z.
All's well that ends well!

Scritta del Ventennio, citazione di un discorso di Benito Mussolini sulla facciata di un vecchio palazzo in Via Rosini in Lucignano (Arezzo). Immagine da me ripresa nel 2018. La scritta è stata poi effettivamente restaurata nel maggio del 2022. Restauro da molti considerato inopportuno considerato la breve distanza dalla casa natale del partigiano Licio Nencetti, lucignanese trucidato a Talla nel 1944.

Written of the Ventennio, quotation from a speech by Benito Mussolini on the facade of an old building in Via Rosini in Lucignano (Arezzo). Image taken by me in 2018. The writing was then actually restored in May 2022. Restoration considered by many to be inappropriate considering the short distance from the birthplace of the partisan Licio Nencetti, from Lucignano killed in Talla in 1944

These two! Percy makes sure Baker gets enough treats, lots of pets and kisses, and some playtime outside. He seems to know the way to not only Grandma's heart but also the heart of a dog.
Diese Länge weist ein Koloss der Baureihe 159 auf und ist damit in etwa so lang wie eine Dampflok der Baureihe 44 samt Tender.
Da passte auf die kleine Brücke über den Sauteler Kanal lediglich noch ein Schüttgutwagen, der sich mit der Lok im ruhigen Wasser spiegelte..

For my 100 Flowers Project - 2020
Lots of Yucca plants in bloom at the moment. My 110 Flowers Project is very different this year since Colin and Glenda moved at the end of October and the new people have really let the garden go. I could walk down the street to Col's garden and get a flower shot at any time of the year. Now if I see a bloom I photograph it!
