Whatta day!
I'm 22! A little late to be having my first dorm bday, but i'm having tons of fun at CalArts. My boyfriend and our good friends decorated our room like crazy. This picture doesn't really do it justice, but it's rad - you can just take my word for it.
British Electric Traction Company Limited 22, a Brush Electrical Engineering Company Limited tram on the Barrow-in-Furness system
Note, 22’s bogies are quoted as being Brush Electrical Engineering Company Limited MET-type and as Mountain & Gibson Limited 3L bogies, and it was possibly fitted with two Brush Electrical Engineering Company Limited 35 horsepower motors and Brush Electrical Engineering Company Limited 3A controllers
Is the tram standing at the Ramsden Dock terminus in Barrow-in-Furness with Ramsden Dock railway station behind the photographer and does a ‘clippy’ suggest the photograph was taken during the time of the First World War?
Ref no Tram00062
After disembarking from the Ocean, I stayed around for a bit to catch a few trains. Here's VIA 22, slowing down but not stopping as it cruises through towards Quebec.
The atmospheric disruption is because the F-22 is actually "spoiling" the air over the control surfaces. Looks impressive to the the crowds, eh?

anybody knows what this is? what causes it? it's not a lens effect: it was even clearer by eyesight.

"another night with him, but i'm always wanting you, use me, common and use me, you know where we go. he's all need, he's all i dream, he's all i'm always wanting." all of this - blink 182 (i changed part of it)
i hate my knees. ok that's the other secret. but i won't count it. i'm not okay right now, sorry for this crap.
Fifteen years ago today I took ownership of my new BMW R80GS from AuTec BMW at Jeremiášova 5, 155 00 Praha 5 Stodulkyin, Czech Republic (now called Invelt s.r.o.). The bike was built to order at the factory in Berlin and delivered in "Kalahari" specification. It was immediately dubbed the "Pragahari". The bike has taken Debra and me around Europe and the UK, and changed our lives. It introduced us to new friends and took us to obscure places we'd otherwise never have seen. Sadly, since starting a family, I've not ridden the Pragahari as much as I would have liked...and this year has been particularly bad due to the incessant rain across Britain. In fact, it's raining as I type! Nevertheless, I think I'll start her up this afternoon and will hopefully get the opportunity to take her for an anniversary spin later in the week :-)

Engine 22. South Park City, CO. This little steam locomotive is a Porter Mogul #6, the type used on the Denver South Park & Pacific Railroad. It sits outside a railway station along Fairplay's original Main Street.

Taken near New Smithville, PA on Old US 22 in Berks County. One of my projects is to take all my old & new photos of 22, 78 and Old 22 and get them all together in one place. I think Flickr is the place to do it. I could even start a US 22 Group if there isn't one already. US 22 starts at the Holland Tunnel in NYC and goes all the way to the Pacific Ocean..... or at least it did at one time!!! LOL!!! I know in Pennsylvania it was/is called William Penn Highway but I wonder what names it has going across the country? Anyone know? There are a few websites that show highway signs and explain the old road configurations but I haven't found one that shows actual scenery and attractions (like Roadside America in Shartlesville!!) like I want to do. I guess for the next several months I will concentrate on Old 22 in NW Jersey (where I work) and also work my way through Easton (Walnut Ave/Butler St/Easton Ave) and Bethlehem (Union Blvd) and Allentown (Tilghman St) and then on my trips to Harrisburg to visit relatives I will gradually hit all the old towns (Kuhnsville, Fogelsville, New Smithville, Krumsville, Lenhartsville, Hamburg, Shartlesville, Strausstown, Rehrersburg, Bethel, Frystown, Fredericksburg, Ono, Jonestown and so forth on the way into downtown Harrisburg (Derry St/Mulberry St/ Herr St). From Harrisburg, Old 22 follows the river north. I haven't been up there in awhile. I used to have a friend in Lewistown and we drove Old 22 up there to check it out but the last time I did that was several years ago.
This is the stare you get from Neko the entire time you are eating cereal in our house. She knows she will get a bit of the milk at the end so wants to be sure you don't forget about her.
