we had eaten and were bloated and were too warm and prancing about in a muddy field and both ended up with our shoes being covered in mud but it was so pretty and we were laughing

Northern Fulmar, swimming around. It made an abrupt turn just as I clicked and the best focus ended up being a little behind the head of the bird. No face recognition in the 1DX2. I wonder how a Sony A7RM2 or RX10M3 done with its eye detection!

It was my intention when I graduated from university that although I had to move back to my parents as I could not afford rent while trying to start a career as a photographer it would not be for very long. That was now two and a half years ago. I had planned to not settle in, or even really unpack so that I didn't sit back and get too comfortable, as after having my own space at uni I desperately wanted it back again. However I come to realise that I shall have to be here for a while longer yet. I know I will never have a stable income as a photographer, but that one I will be earning enough to live my live where I want to, and how I see fit. However for now I at least want to make my bedroom feel like mine, so today I have started redecorating... It's funny just how much meaning a simple photograph can have, isn't it.
