Sitting on the deck after supper drinking our tea, waiting for a downy woodpecker to come a little bit closer, this Tricolored bumblebee started amusing us.

First, he was checking out the Bacopa. But then he turned to the white clover, and that's what he really got face and eyes into.

His paniers looked full of pollen by the time he left. Okay: his corbiculae. Or pollen baskets.

And, yeah, I know I spelt tricoloured two ways. Those -our spellings have huge variation in Canada. And, willy-nilly, I'm Canadian.

And panniers the *very* old-fashioned way. But there you go. You can take a man from his history of English books, but you can't take the history of English from the man.

The Kite saga is coming to an end. The new Enviro200s entered service in January 2015, with the route registered to change number from 20 to Kite (but with no actual timing changes) from 15th March 2015.

In reality, buses continued to show 20, even after a launch for the service in Aldershot town centre on 18th April.

Four months after the change date however, from around the 9th July 2015, buses have started to show 'KITE' on their LEDs.

However, not all buses have managed it just yet.

Here's route 1 Gold MAN 22743 (GX58 MVG) standing in, still showing '20'. An Olympian was also on the route today showing 20.

A steam engine entering Dduallt Railway Station on the narrow gauge Ffestiniog Heritage Railway, in the Vale Of Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, North Wales.

The station's origins exist due to the first introduction of steam trains on the route in 1863, when a slate water tank (which still exists) was established near Dduallt farm about 0.5 miles below the present station and all trains stopped here for water. Regular use of this facility probably ceased about 1872 with the opening of Tan-y-Bwlch station (although up goods trains are said to have been required to stop at Dduallt for examination prior to passing through Moelwyn tunnel). There has never been road access to Dduallt station, which can only be reached by public footpaths. Vale Of Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, North Wales.

So I failed to see Courtney's new 63-reg lemon and lime Solo... I was also hoping to see Aldershot's new 63-reg all ADL Enviro300 which has entered service on the 1, as extra cover for the unreliable MANs. Did I see it...? Nope!

I was quite hopeful I would see it, as from past experience, they seem to like putting the more reliable pair of 11-reg all-ADL E300s out at the first opportunity, which was indeed the case today, but the new one had evidently stayed at home.

It wasn't a complete failure though, as it turned out nearly all the buses on the route were the few remaining buses I hadn't yet snapped! So here's four pretty uninspiring snaps, all in the same place but at different angles, of four of the final five.

This is 22743 (GX58 MVG), one which I hadn't yet snapped at all.

Last left now is 22754, which I do have a photo of on the first day of the Goldline conversion (in old livery), so I won't be too irritated if it catches fire and escapes the camera or something!

My journey into Aldershot didn't go quite to plan, after I and other passengers had to get off and walk the last section because some plonker had parked a Stalbridge Linen van blocking the road.

It's Stagecoach 22743 (GX58 MVG). It must have been stuck here for a good eight or nine minutes, bringing the whole of the top of Aldershot to a standstill.
