I arrived in Huntsville, Alabama on Sunday and have had a great time while here other than the flooding which is a whole other story. Today, I got to see the infamous 227 with Wes, Mike and Anne. Wow!! All that driving was well worth it!! Eat your heart out Brian!! We thought of you:-)). I'll write more about my trip here later. It hasn't been dull!!
Die Holzverkehre nach Plattling bzw. Hengersberg nehmen immer mehr zu. Neben EVB und HLG brachte vergangene Woche erstmals CLR einen vollen Holzzug aus Freiberg (Sachsen) nach Plattling, wo EVB den Zug weiter nach Hengersberg brachte. Am Tag darauf war der entladene Holzzug wieder retour unterwegs. Die beiden CLR Nohabs 227 004 (My 1138) und 227 005 (My1142) waren für die Bespannung des Zuges zuständig und konnten bei Straubing abgelichtet werden.
Im schönsten Herbstlicht des 27.10.15 ist 193 227 mit einem Containerzug von Bremerhaven auf dem Weg in Richtung Süden und wurde dabei bei Rohrsen von vier Fotografen erwartet.
Mit dem CLR Holzzug aus Freiberg ist hier bei Zeitlarn nach Nohab Doppel 227 004 und 005 gen Regensburg und weiter nach Plattling unterwegs.

Bei Stephansposching war 227 010 mit ihrem IGE Sonderzug unterwegs und wurde von meinem Vater erwartet.
Once the desired duo departed Bellevue the sun was just hanging to high to break the clouds but at the last two locations the sun peaked down far enough to provide nice backlight in the final stretch into Hartland yard.

Once again, I visited Waterfall 227 near Lake Guntersville, Alabama yesterday. We have been in a severe drought down here so there is virtually no water in any of the waterfalls I like to visit. But not the 227. No matter the conditions, this waterfall is always running.
The other thing I like about this place is that there are so many levels and cascades that you can almost always find a new angle from which to shoot.

Neben den (überwiegend) lokbespannten Leistungen nach Pocinho gibt es im Douro-Tal auch noch zusätzliche Nahverkehrszüge ab Régua Richtung Porto. Hierbei kommen die schon seit etlichen Jahren von der spanischen Renfe angemieteten Triebwagen der Baureihe 592 zum Einsatz. 592 227 war am 12.10.2022 als R 4102 von Régua nach Marco de Canaveses unterwegs. Dort besteht dann Anschluss an die S-Bahn nach Porto. Das Bild zeigt ihn zwischen Aregos und Mosteiro.
