I can feel the wind blowin'
It's sending shivers down my spine
I can feel the wind blowin'
It shakes the trees and the power lines
What makes a man spend his whole life in disguise?
I think I know
I think I might know
Went for a walk with my brother in law and Billy the Border terrier before it got too hot.
Now we've both retired, we're acting out "Last of the summer wine"....
The area near our house is littered with old millstones from the days of quarrying gritstone. As you enter the Peak District national park on the Derbyshire/Yorkshire boundary, there's a millstone mounted on a plinth announcing your arrival. We walked passed it this evening on a gentle jaunt, camera at my side, and I spent a good few minutes trying to decide how I might capture it. Then my other half spotted this composition, so I can't claim true credit for the idea. Grrrr!

2014.08.13 - As I was so tired, I just went away for two days on a mini-roadtrip through the south coast of Portugal. The weather spoiled me!

I never explained that actual concept of my photo yesterday other than talking about naps. But there is this super cool thing called NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) I was going to do it this past year but didn't have the time for it. Anyway my story would have been set in a dreamscape/fantasy like setting. In my story everyone would live on their own land, which would float in space. The hierarchy of the people wold be visually represented by what you land looked like ant the materials that held it together. The richer you are the better looking you land would be. At some point my main character would join up with a hub of land that would very much act like a continents in our world. Seeing as I never hd the time to write the story it never really went any where. But it was nice to do a couple of photos that really visually represent what I was thinking at the time. I think it'll help me out when I decided to pick it up again.
As you can see there past two photos are for the future me to look back on. I think one of my next challenges is to write this story.
Now enough about me, here is something for you. Well something from me to you. Sometimes I like to listen to this song.
Super duper side note, I have chickens at my place and I've wanted to do a shoot ever since I stated this project with them. And this has been the only idea that I felt like they'd fit in. Have a good night :)
Just yesterday I was telling my wife that we haven’t seen an armadillo yet. Well this morning while working out I came across this one. He just had to show me who is faster.

These are two bears I got last week at the antique store. There were so many to pick from I wanted to choose them all and I feel guilty leaving the others behind. But, I chose the one with the sweater because I like them wearing sweaters. And the other one is a mini Build-A-Bear and she was just so cute, way down at the bottom under a shelf and no one could see her. There were a bunch of Littlest Pet Shop toys on the bottom I was looking at and saw this bear and had to get her. I love her summer beach shirt and skirt. These bears are maybe 8" tall.

Finished at last!
The Soviet Union built the massive An-225 Mriya as a transport for their Buran shuttle and booster rockets. It was largely based on Antonov's already-giant transport, the An-124. Once the Buran program fell through and the Soviet Union broke down, the single completed An-225 passed eventually to Antonov Airlines, who now operate it as a heavy cargo lifter. The An-225 holds the records for heaviest gross weight and takeoff weight, so even though the Spruce Goose had a wider wingspan, the Mriya is generally considered the largest aircraft ever made.
This model is 1:100 scale. At 106 studs long and 110 stud wingspan, I guess this might be considered my first SHIP
