Not many of the class 152 locos appear in non-standard livery, but this is one example. Approaching from the Frankfurt direction
A train of London Underground S7 Stock stands at bay platform 3 at Moorgate, waiting to depart with a Hammersmith and City Line service to Edgware Road. The train is formed of cars 21414, 22414, 23414, 24414, 24413, 22413 and 21413 (nearest the camera).
Hammersmith and City Line and Circle Line services were not running between Edgware Road and Hammersmith due to planned engineering work. However, this particular working from Edgware Road had turned back here rather than running further east - hence using one of the bay platforms, which allowed a photo not often available these days, as the train stopped a little distance short of the buffers.
I was travelling back to the Thameslink routes in South London from Alexandra Palace, changing at Moorgate and Farringdon - and was here at the right time for this working.

An ELL (European Locomotive Leasing) Siemens Vectron MS, specifically 193 222-7 D-ELOC, operating under hire to CZTrain and subhired to RegioJet, was observed pulling the RJ 1034 RegioJet service from Budapest-Déli to Praha-Zahradní Město.
Madgaon bound Rajdhani Express with Ratlam WDM3A makes a smoky exit out of Nandgaon Station of Konkan Railways.
This is my new findings in Kazusa 12 Shrines Festival this year. I usually get closer to Mikoshi guys and take pictures of people lifting up the portable shrines. This year, I wanted to do something else, and stepped back a little and realized that the combination of Mikoshi (portable shrines) and the flags are photogenic! Actually, these are Sensu (Japanese folding paper fan). I think this is a very traditional way of cheering Mikoshi guys.

This morning I stept outside the basement door and found this dead pine siskin. A feather was stuck to a window three or four metres above it. I imagine it hit the window earlier in the morning.
I have several times saved birds that got knocked out by flying into windows. But this one was beyond resuscitation.

One of the ALXs I'm a lot more familiar with, having caught it in the past, this one was a regular around 2010/11 on Sherwood Arrow, working out of the Worksop Garage after being displaced from the InterConnect 100 by E400 Scanias in 2009.
22414 now resides at Hull, seen heading into Alfred Gelder Street with a 3 to Bilton Grange via Garden Village, Holderness and Greatfield.

Well, sadly, work in the house as well as prevailing schedules for University meant I couldn't go out any further this week. So as a replacement, it's time for a throwback to now long-withdrawn Stagecoach in Hull bus types. All of these vehicles were removed from the fleet by the end of 2019 in line with the arrival of the new fleet in July, sadly removing the majority of the buses with actual character in them - the last ones went last August.
We'll start now with ALX300s. Though I can't say I rode them all that often, I do miss seeing the humble MAN ALX300 around in Hull sometimes. So it turns out that these were, sadly, in the majority of vehicles that I never got photos of, likely as a good number of them would have operated in West Hull or around the other estates I didn't poke my head around all that often then. Well, as they say, there's no point crying over spilled milk.
Going way back to 2017 in this instance, Stagecoach in Hull's 22414, a 2006 MAN 18.220 Alexander ALX300 new to Stagecoach Lincolnshire RoadCar and branded for the 100 service from Lincoln to Scunthorpe before being transferred to Hull in around 2012-2013, is seen here likely acting as a driver's canteen or otherwise awaiting service, taken shortly before I got on the bus down to Scunthorpe for that afternoon - somewhere where, of course, I'll be uploading from that trip soon enough.
My first thought, I didn't like doing that!
But then it turns out I love it
