SÜDAFRIKA( South-Africa), Im Kruger-Nationalpark.
Kruger National Park is a South African National Park and one of the largest game reserves in Africa. It covers an area of 19,623 km2 (7,576 sq mi) in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga in northeastern South Africa, and extends 360 km (220 mi) from north to south and 65 km (40 mi) from east to west. The administrative headquarters are in Skukuza. Areas of the park were first protected by the government of the South African Republic in 1898, and it became South Africa's first national park in 1926.
To the west and south of the Kruger National Park are the two South African provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga, respectively. To the north is Zimbabwe, and to the east is Mozambique. It is now part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, a peace park that links Kruger National Park with the Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe, and with the Limpopo National Park in Mozambique.
The park is part of the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere, an area designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as an International Man and Biosphere Reserve.

Bermeo, Vizcaya, País Vasco, España.
La villa de Bermeo es un municipio vizcaíno de la comarca de Busturialdea, en la comunidad autónoma del País Vasco, España. Se trata de una de las localidades más pobladas de la comarca de la Reserva de la Biosfera de Urdaibai junto con Guernica y Luno, con 16 864 habitantes (INE, 2020).
Fundada en 1236, la villa ostentó el título de Cabeza de Vizcaya desde 1476 hasta 1602, siendo la principal población del Señorío de Vizcaya. Es por ello por lo que Bermeo gozó de ciertos privilegios y por lo que gozaba de mayor relevancia frente al resto de villas en las Juntas Generales de Vizcaya. A esto cabe añadirle las juras que los reyes realizaban en la iglesia de Santa Eufemia cada vez que visitaban la provincia.
Actualmente, se trata de una villa arraigada a la tradición marinera, ya que su economía se basa mayoritariamente en la pesca y en las conservas de pescado.
Posee además diferentes atractivos turísticos tales como la ermita de San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, la torre Ercilla (Museo del pescador), la Puerta de San Juan, el casco antiguo, la Atalaya y el manicomio y su acogedor puerto, entre otros.

To this must be added the oaths that the kings made in the church of Santa Eufemia every time they visited the province.
Currently, it is a town rooted in the seafaring tradition, since its economy is based mainly on fishing and canned fish.
It also has different tourist attractions such as the hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, the Ercilla tower (Fisherman's Museum), the Puerta de San Juan, the old town, the Atalaya and the asylum and its welcoming port, among others.

Después de dos años de ausencia a causa de la pandemia de la Covi-19, este sábado, 11 de junio, se celebra una nueva edición de la exposición Internacional de Autobuses Clásicos Barcelona, un acontecimiento organizado por TMB, la Fundación TMB, Sagalés y la Asociación para la Recuperación y Conservación de Autobuses (ARCA) que contará con la presencia de una cincuentena de vehículos históricos, que se exhibirán en la avenida Maria Cristina (entre la plaza Espanya y la avenida de Rius y Taulet) en horario de 16 a 21.30 h. After two years of absence due to the Covi-19 pandemic, this Saturday, June 11, a new edition of the Barcelona International Classic Bus Exhibition will be held, an event organized by TMB, the TMB Foundation, Sagalés and the Association for the Recovery and Conservation of Buses (ARCA), which will have the presence of some fifty historic vehicles, which will be exhibited on Maria Cristina Avenue (between Plaza Espanya and Rius y Taulet Avenue) from 4:00 p.m. 9:30 p.m. It will be a unique opportunity to see vehicles that represent more than a hundred years of public transport in Catalonia, just the year in which its centenary is celebrated.

Recreating Cruzeiro Seixas (1920-2020) Challenge - November / December 2020
For the recent death of this Portuguese surrealist master on November 8, 2020, we want to pay a very special tribute to the Painter and Poet Cruzeiro Seixas (1920-2020) through a contest recreating his surrealist imagery in our Recreating Masters Group.
Artur Manuel Rodrigues of Cruzeiro Seixas (1920-2020) was a "man that paint " like he called himself and Portuguese poet, activist of the artistic movement Surrealism in the mid-twentieth century. He study in the School of Decorative Arts António Arroio, where he met Mario Cesariny .
In the mid 1940s together with Mário Cesariny, António Maria Lisboa, Carlos Calvet, Pedro Oom and Mário-Henrique Leiria, among others, he joined the group "Grupo Surrealista de Lisboa". Participates in the exhibition of this group in 1949 (1st exhibition of the Surrealists, Lisbon).
Considering that the fantastic surrealism visible in his work, had as main inspiration the work of the artist De Chirico. Cruzeiro Seixas is the author of a vast work in the field of drawing and painting, but also in poetry, sculpture and objects / sculpture.
With an unmistakable style, composed of strange and lunar landscapes populated by ambiguous beings, Cruzeiro Seixas' place is fundamental for the affirmation of Portuguese surrealism.
In the words of the artist - "We reinvented surrealism in the time [of the dictatorship] of Salazar, when there was nothing in Portugal. The hunger was so great and there were no books. Nothing came here. But we were reinventing. There were extraordinary ideas, especially in the field of painting ". (*)
"Today, the world is very poor, because there is nothing to compare to a period when we needed to invent something", underlined Cruzeiro Seixas, insisting on the revolutionary character of surrealism. Nothing had surpassed him since then, he said. "We are all desperate looking for a new idea". (*)

Arrivée par train jusqu'à Renens depuis l'usine Stadler de Bussnang, la Be 4/8 64 a été transférée sur une longue remorque routière de Friderici Spécial.
Ce convoi attend la nuit pour permettre le déchargement de la motrice sur la chaussée au carrefour de Montétan, sur une portion de ligne qui disparaîtra prochainement avec la mise en service du tunnel jusqu'à Union Prilly.
Cette motrice n'est donc pas sur pneus pour être livrée dans le jardin d'un conducteur exigeant d'effectuer du télétravail à domicile.

The original comes from my own slide collection, which contains both my own photos and those acquired over the past forty or so years collecting.

Baltimore & Ohio Railroad GP9 6676 at Riverdale, Illinois on Mach 10, 1984, Kodachrome by Gib Allbach, Chuck Zeiler collection. Built in September 1956 as C&O 6127 ( c/n 22035 ) on EMD Order 5467, it became B&O 6676 and was sold for scrap in March 1987.

On this date two charters operated from Killarney to Dublin Heuston with departures at 1030 and 1100.

22035 departs Thurles with the 1625hrs InterCity service from Dublin Heuston to Limerick. This service calls at Limerick Junction instead of using the direct curve.
The former engine shed can be seen on the left, now in use by Bus Éireann.
