Another walk to Upnor this morning. I saw this boat tied to shore with a number of ropes fanned out.
Where I stood this morning- a good place to be on a very wet sloppy day. #tonyhewlettdds #whereistandtoday #ourwisproject #21of365
Horses Grazing on Port Meadow in Oxford, there some history here but you'll have to Wiki it!
The rest of the 365 project so far...
Today President Bush vetoed a bill that passed through Congress outlawing several interrogation methods used by the CIA against enemy combatants.
These methods include:
-Waterboarding
-Beating
-Electrocution
-Burning
-Using dogs
-Denying food, water, or medical attention
-Stripping
-Putting hoods or tape over a person's eyes
-Forcing combatants to mimic or perform sexual acts
These actions have all been prohibited by the military and are all forbidden in the Army field manual. They are viewed as torture by the global community. The bill vetoed by Bush would have brought the CIA in compliance with the same codes of conduct as the military, who have found that such harsh tactics do not provide reliable results. The fact that Congress passed the bill in and of itself signifies that it received bipartisan support given the Republican Party's ability to put an end to any legislation in the Senate with a filibuster.
And yet President Bush is vetoing this bill. Why? Here's his own words.
"The bill Congress sent me would take away one of the most valuable tools in the war on terror."
"This is no time for Congress to abandon practices that have a proven track record of keeping America safe."
The general election is only seven months away, but that is still a long way to go. None, NONE, of the major candidates left standing would support this type of conduct by our government.
So here's to hope, it may be the only thing we have left as we wait for this era to come to a close.
Z likes to mess with Daisy, teasing her and getting her frustrated. I keep telling Daisy that she has a right to bite Z, but all she really does is nip at her when she is really provoked.
My first lemon on my first lemon tree :) I only planted it last summer so I am surprised to see it bearing fruit already. It is supposed to be a Dwarf Lemon Tree but it is already 2 metres high.hmmmmm

I was coming home from Rosemead and spotted the double rainbow..If you look to the right of the sign you will see it faded out. I didn't have my camera, or phone, so I had to take it with my sons phone and it didn't pick up the 2nd one as well as you could actually see it..But I finally got my rainbow I've been looking for..when I'm not looking or prepared of course.
Another day of meeting lovely people and catching up on news <3

This morning it was so cold that ice was on the outside & inside of the windows!! The pups' water dish was frozen, as were my mouthwash & the kettle (now that's cold)! Currently - situation normal here! :-) Not the crystal clear image that I’d have liked though…
Gutted this didn't come out totally crisp, but at least it will stop me checking for lines I can't usually see!
Went to The Hair shop in Los Angeles.. My daughter had to go buy more extensions for her hair..there was hair everywhere!
21/365: Silk flowers that will be used to make fancy hair clips/crowns for an upcoming photo shoot :) This picture was taken with my new Diana+ glass lens. This lens is used on a modern DSLR but gives you the effect of an old Diana camera. Diana cameras were popular in the 1960s, and you can even buy a modern one today. In their hayday, they were cheap, simple cameras, but they were known for their ability to give you a soft, 'dreamy' quality to photos along with a lot of color saturation and sharpness. These flowers play perfectly with the effects that this lens delivers. I also took some pictures with one of my regular lenses, and I actually like how it came out with the Diana+ lens better. It should be fun to continue playing with this lens and learning more about how to maximize the effects!
Spent a inordinantly long time in the bathroom today (even for me. look elswhere in my photostream if you must know why) and here's the coolest object in there.
Another trip to the doctor's office....time for breathing treatments. I love my healthcare!! 21of365
