No takers for the elegant (and presumably) Victorian shelter on the promenade on this freezing cold and blustery winter's morning. In fact, apart from a couple of shore-fishermen, the seafront was practically deserted. Not a 'Ten from Len' day, then.

"$1.00 & Up" This is a repost from many years ago. Houston's old Tennyson Hotel rented rooms for $2.00 a night way back when. The New Rosemont, located in downtown Beaumont, handily beat their price. The building is still there but unfortunately the sign has disappeared.
Interior, Dom St. Stephan, Passau. The Baroque cathedral dates from 1668, but the altarpiece is obviously 20th Century, and was installed after WWII. It depicts the stoning of St. Stephen. The locals reportedly hated it, but accepted their bishop’s recommendation to keep it.

At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, a large number of dachas were built in Svyatoshin by the efforts of Kiev residents. At the end of the 20th and beginning of the 21st centuries, most of them were demolished for high-rise buildings, but some houses survived and today have historical value for the city and all connoisseurs of antiquity. Svyatoshin dachas, which is the collective name for all the old houses in this area, were very different, ranging from simple houses of the average population to luxurious palaces. Famous architects worked on their construction, who were able to create real masterpieces. In terms of beauty, they are on a par with the dachas of Pushcha-Voditsa.

Наприкінці 20, початку 21 століть більшість було знесено під висотну забудову, але деякі будинки збереглися, і сьогодні мають історичну цінність для міста та всіх поціновувачів старовини. Святошинські дачі, а саме такими, збірними словами, називають усі старі будинки даного району, були різними, починаючи від простих будинків звичайного середньостатистичного населення і закінчуючи шикарними палацами. Над їхньою спорудою працювали відомі архітектори, які змогли створити справжні шедеври. За красою стоять в одному ряду із дачами Пущі-Водиці.

This is Antelope Canyon which is a slot canyon near Page, Arizona. It was totally amazing.

Not sure what these are, but they are tiny. The plant they are on looks like grass, but is jet black & then these flower spikes appear and they are this lovely delicate mauve colour & have a waxy texture. Thought they rather suited this small stone pot. For scale, the height of the pot is about 3cm withougt the lid.

Golden sunshine spills across the old Methodist Chapel above Spark Bridge and the Crake Valley on the southern edge of the Lake District National Park, Cumbria.
GRLW Z590 and Pickens’ Belton Job meet at Belton Junction in you guessed it, Belton South Carolina. This connection was built in the late 20th century as part of a trackage rights agreement between SOU and Seaboard, SOU would abandon most of their adjacent V-Line and would in return get trackage rights over the former Piedmont & Northern Southern Division Mainline. Today, Belton Jct is where Pickens and GRLW interchange, both using 1st and 2nd Generation diesel power from the two biggest locomotive manufacturers.
