The church is a three-aisled, wooden-roofed basilica with a narthex and domes over the parabemata. It was founded in ca. 986-990 by tsar Samuel of Bulgaria. Initially, it was the cathedral of Samuel's short lived empire and later, until the middle of the 15th century, was an episcopal church. A tomb covered with a relief tombstone is preserved in the south arm of the cruciform diaconicon; tradition has it that it was here that the relics of St. Achilleios were kept.
Η εκκλησία του Αγίου Αχιλλείου είναι τρίκλιτη ξυλόστεγη βασιλική με νάρθηκα και τρούλους στα παραβήματα. Ιδρύθηκε από το Βούλγαρο τσάρο Σαμουήλ μεταξύ των ετών 986-990. Αποτέλεσε αρχικά τον καθεδρικό ναό του κράτους του Σαμουήλ και αργότερα, έως τα μέσα του 15ου αιώνα, τον επισκοπικό ναό της ομώνυμης περιοχής. Στη νότια κεραία του σταυρόσχημου σε κάτοψη διακονικού διατηρείται τάφος καλυμμένος με ανάγλυφη πλάκα, που κατά την παράδοση θεωρείται τόπος φύλαξης των λειψάνων του Αγίου Αχιλλείου.

20302/311/205 are seen at Barrow upon Soar working the 5A26 1006 Burton Wetmore sidings - Wembley Receptions 1-7 with two barrier vehicles and 20007 on the back 10/12/25. (Taken using a couple of sections of the pole)
20901 leads the drain train with 20905 on the back. Seen at Frisby working the 6J09 1007 Woking Up Yard - Stapleford & Sandiacre 16/9/25. (Taken using a pole)

Thrash! 4,000hp of English Electric as 20311, 20314 with 20096 & 20132 on the rear pass Burrs with the 1Z01 18.00 Bury to Ramsbottom on July 5th 2019. The lead locos were formerly part of the DRS stable, but in a previous life 20311 was 20102 and 20314 was 20117
HNRC class 20s, 20311 and 20314 climb Crigglestone bank near Wakefield with 3S14 the Grimsby to Bridlington RHTT.
One out of the very bottom of the sock drawer, but covering subject matter I neglected for so long. A pair of English-Electric Class 20s, 20136/20026, head a northbound empty merry go round working past the site of Stapleford & Sandiacre, near Toton, during March 1989.
