The Peugeot 203 was produced between 1948 and 1960, replacing the 202. It was itself replaced by the 403.
Over 650,000 203 variants were produced.
A full beach day, with a terrible spot (right next to the lifeguard stand--suuuper crowded). But the water was great!

I brought some flowers into the studio space and started having a play around with lighting. I've been really inspired by several of my contacts here on Flickr recently (hope you know who you are!) and decided to whip out the macro lens.
I've got some good pieces in the making, but they aren't up to scratch yet, so today's offering is, well it's a reject! I'm not saying it's a terrible image, it's interesting enough to post and it's part of the learning journey that my Flickr stream has now become.
I'm far less afraid of my mistakes these days, I don't remember the quote exactly and I can't find it, but it goes something like 'Nobody sits down and creates a masterpiece, great art comes from making mistakes'...

I am going to get rid of so many clothes after today. I feel like I folded enough laundry to clothe a small country for a week, haha. Watched a lot of Buffy today and got to see an old friend, it was nice.

THE ALL ELECTRIC HOME IS BEING USED AS A JOINT PROJECT OF WESTINGHOUSE, DOE, THE ELECTRIC POWER RESEARCH INSTITUTE, AND THE POTOMAC ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY. THE EXPERIMENT IS DESIGNED TO REDUCE ELECTRICAL NEEDS BY UTILIZING SOLAR ENERGY, A HEAT PUMP, AND LARGE STORAGE TANKS TO STORE HEATED WATER.

The Peugeot 203 was a post-war utility vehicle produced during 12 years which had a rather good reputation thanks to a tenacious engine and also thanks to a large choice in the range (saloon, flatbed, convertible,...).
it was also sold with another front grille (gh version) and was embellished as for the Peugeot 203 Darl'Mat and Constantin (coupé version).
Today, it sometimes reappears on the roads of France but it remains nevertheless a very good success of Peugeot.

The growth pattern of Birmingham, the “Pittsburgh of the South,” is determined by the northeast-southwest alignment of low mountains in north-central Alabama. The shadowed, northwest-facing slopes of several taller ridges help accentuate the topographic relief of the photograph. The street patterns of Birmingham are not discernible; however, the general northeast-southwest development within the valley is apparent—Bessemer, a smaller, steel-producing city southwest of Birmingham, was the major source of economic development for the region during the mid-1900s. Proximity to nearby coal fields and large iron ore deposits helped to develop the region. Reflective Birmingham International Airport is barely discernible northeast of Birmingham. The tip of the Space Shuttle tail is apparent in the lower left corner of the photograph.
Okay, I'm absolutly in love with this. I didn't like it while I was editing it but it's definately growing on me.
My nieces came over around 8am--their mom is going to see a concert out of town--ANEW REVOLUTION--and we are watching them. Uhhh, don't know how I'm going to make it through the day.
