We escaped from work today to view an impressive sunset on the St. Lawrence River that took place at 6:33 pm today October 3, 20202. Cool (10 Celsius) and windy but lovey. Proof from the canoe below...
Dit is het beeld van de moderne "Kleinbahn"uit de jaren dertig. De in onderhoud en exploitatie dure stoomlocomotief werd waar mogelijk vervangen door een lichte motorwagen. Een reizigerstrein met bescheiden bezetting kon op die manier op een economisch verantwoorde wijze gereden worden met een qua kosten gunstig motorrijtuig. De Waggonfabrik Wismar ontwikkelde met standaard-componenten van Ford de Wismar-bus. Dit is één van de oudst bewaard gebleven exemplaren. Bovendien is het een metersporige motorwagen die afkomstig is van de Steinhuder Meerbahn. Het voertuig is voorbeeldig gerestaureerd en wordt af en toe ingezet op de museumlijn van Bruchhausen-Vilsen naar Asendorf.
