A closeup of a female Bobcat resting during the rains.I liked this image because it shows the facial details very well and shows some scars that this Bobcat has received during her life.
This particular cat, nicknamed 'Notch', is a particularly skilled survivor. She has persisted through droughts, flooding, and several injuries over her 5 year lifetime and has continued to thrive and successfully raise young. It is truly remarkable how resilient nature can be.

We only made it about 3/4 the way to the point because it got to dangerous to walk on the slippery rocks out there. We ended up shooting anything that moved from a distance. This is a big crop. Thanks Bill for spotting it in some of the shots.
