There were at least 40+ eagles at Conowingo Dam yesterday and at least as many double-crested cormorants. I captured this mature bald eagle as it flew by and I see it has a fish in it's claws, I can see the fish eye looking back at me.

The Second of a duo looking at the University Campus as a metaphor for the traditional collection, maintenance and transmission of knowledge. Here the buildings appear to be crumbling, or, are in the process of RE-formation, morphing into something else.
Now firmly ensconced in the "Information" age, we might want to consider the difference(S) between information and knowledge. One does not imply the other. How we go forward with education is just as much up for question as everything else that seems to be in crisis. If we're not meeting the needs of our culture and creating a good society, only producing money-making robots, then we have some serious re-thinking to do.
I used Latin Text ( courtesy of Google Translate ) here for the titles as the language has always been seen as de rigeur in academic achievement ...... at least, traditionally. It therefore implies the old, both with utmost respect and an understanding that we might need to move away from the traditional into a new way of doing things.

August 2016 konnte ich die hübsche Cargo Logistik Rail Service GmbH(CLR) 155 103 bei Bardowick mit einem Ganzzug bestehend aus Kesselwagen mit den großen GATX-Logos auf dem Weg zum Rbf Hohe Schaar ablichten. Zum Zeitpunkt des Fotos ist es die vierte ehemalige DB 155ziger, die bei einem privaten Unternehmen in Betrieb gegangen ist.

Originally seen and photo'd at the 2016 Back to the Fifties car show. Re-parked in a more secluded spot. Some interesting conversion work on this one.
The Sauna is one the 7 temporary winter art arrangements transforming the lifeguard stations in Toronto Eastern Beaches. I didn't find the form and style of this structure appealing - it just looked like a big plastic rectangular prism dropped on the sand. So I tried to ignore the construction and find inspiration from the inside out.

It was warm and wonderful so we packed up a lunch and headed for the hills and bays around the banks peninsula. It reached will over 30c today.. a bit too hot at times and there was no wind at all.

In my official capacity, I need to visit Jalpaiguri. This place where Teesta Barrage is located is known as Gajoldoba. Morning looks so serene and calm with the reflection of Sun, transmission tower and Street light on water is almost perfect. I did not use any ND filter here. Shot was handheld and being a cloudy day, Sun was not so harsh either.

6.00 am, the cool autumn morning comes. The colors get brighter and there's no wind at all. This show lasts just for an hour, no more.

Here is one of the daisies that I dyed last week, it is the only one that really picked up much color from the dye. Working on my New Year's goals to practice and improve my Photoshop skills. Here I have added a texture layer to the image but decided to mask off the daisy to create a further divide.
Feeling a bit disenchanted with my photography today. I really am working to improve not just technically but artistically. How do you improve your artistry without practice though and 366 is hard because I have to share what I am working on. I know these are self imposed rules... but it makes it tough to experiment. I just finished the book Outliers and must keep working towards my 10,000 hours before I really get discouraged I guess.
