The final album from Jazz Fusion trio Cumulus saw them take on a more relaxed approach. Gone were the harsh noise workouts to be replaced by a mellow groove thanks mainly to the frequent guest appearances from Vibraphone master (and self confessed prankster) Alan Donut. Released in 1977 on crazy kat records.
Bei Freibolz ergibt sich dieser Blick auf Reipertshofen - ein typischer Weiler im westlichen Allgäu. Am 14. August 2016 brachten 218 433 und eine weitere 218 den EC 191 von Basel SBB nach München HBF und störten die ländliche Idylle nur kurz.
Near Freibolz you can find this place where you have a good view over the little village of Reipertshofen - typical for this region. At the 14th of August 2016 218 433 and another class 218 engine hauled EuroCity 191 to Munich central station and disturbed the rural scenery only for a few moments.
If you look close enough while looking right at something or someone, there are also shadows and reflections that can appear. And while at first glance things may have clarity, upon further inspection there is often a blurring of the lines that make up the reality.
A very experimental shot for me.
The different layers of Sunset come from the different panes of the window I shot this through. Plus the screen acted as a diffuser/filter, the add more effect.
Kathy and I attended the Chicano Park Car Show in San Diego again this year. As usual we arrived in Barrio Logan well before sunrise and found a lot of cars waiting for roll in. We feel that this is a great time to take photos: No crowds, classic cars everywhere, and interesting uneven and moody street lighting under the Coronado bridge overpasses. That lighting eventually gives way to sunrise and thanks to some clouds it was a great one this year. Shooting at a low angle is a good way to get some cool sky and clouds into your shot so I did some of that this year. I walked away from the park a block or so and found this 1947 Fleetline idling at curbside. I was going to take a shot from the front but once I saw the orange colored sky I changed my mind. Later in the day another photographer stopped me to chat and asked when I had arrived. When I told him he said he liked taking photos midday. "It's better lighting" he said. I had to disagree.

For the Macro Monday challenge "Spiky" (November 23rd 2020)
This morning's garden work gave me my final choice for this challenge, as I donned gauntlets to cut back the firethorn bushes by the house! The spines are ferocious, and it is one of my least favourite garden chores. The birds love the berries, but it amazes me how they never get impaled on these spikes!

The aerial shots offer us a different and complementary information of the lateral ones. We can observe a certain flattening of the abdomen, the amber spots of the base of the posterior wings, the muscular structure from which the wings are born, etc.

St Mary's Church is a Grade II listed building.
Bagby village is 3 miles south east of Thirsk on the edge of the Hambledon Hills in North Yorkshire. Population 470 (2001)
11306 was new to Perrymans in 2013 as 013.
She is seen here at Waterloo Place.
In 2016, when West Coast Motors bought Perrymans, 013 was renumbered to 11306. The bus would still have Perrymans vinyls on the body until later on.
In 2017, 11306 finally received her new fleet number vinyls and got Borders Buses vinyls removed and they were replaced with Borders Buses vinyls. She remained in her "Albino" livery.
In 2020, 11306 was repainted into the Borders Buses livery. Beforehand it was in a white "albino" livery.

For those who follow me on Facebook, this shot here should be very familiar. I posted some weeks ago in Facebook a picture made with my iPhone showing my gear in front of this wonderful scene. That evening I was again with our dog in our woods having a walk before the rain came. And hey … even in the forests of my Hometown Winterthur I can still find magic places! Beauty is everywhere and in everything, you just have to recognize it. That was the lesson I learned that windy evening. And what a wind we had he he he … the wind was really strong and I have been hard pressed to freeze the scene properly. Well, you can still see some branches and leaves blowing and dancing in the wind. But hey, I love this effect in a picture and therefore I wanted to show you this image. I hope you like it.

Caleuche ist eine Installation am Ernst-Reuter-Platz im Rahmen von Berlin leuchtet. Sie ist inspiriert durch die Mythologie „Chiloe“ aus Chile von Marjorie Chau .
CALEUCHE ist ein Schiff, welches in dunklen Nächten unvorhergesehen auftaucht und auf die selbe Weise wieder plötzlich verschwindet. Der Schöpfer von CALEUCHE ist „Millalobo“ (ein Seelöwe), dieser lenkt das Meeresklima, ist Gebieter über die Unterwasserwelt und Hüter der unglücklich verstorbenen Seelen im Meer, die als Passagiere der CALEUCHE weiterleben.
Die Segel symbolisieren auch die großen Müll-Teppiche, die sich im Ozean (Pacific) im Süden Chiles ansammeln und stetig größer wachsen. Die Verschmutzung der Meere beeinträchtigt viel den Lebensraum der Meerestiere. Groß- und mikroformatige Kunststoffabfälle in großen Mengen töten mehr Meeresbewohner als der Klimawandel selbst. Die Abfälle werden von z.B. Walen, Schwertfischen und Seelöwen beiläufig beim Essen aufgenommen. Inspiriert durch die Mythologie, verbindet Marjorie Chau Tradition mit Neuzeit und verwebt diese wortwörtlich mit einer Web-Maschine. Plastikfolien (Mülltüten) dienen ihr hierzu als Material, welches sie zu mehreren segelförmigen Leinwand-Strukturen zusammengefügt hat.

A 2017 night shot from European Square, or Plac Europejski, in Warsaw, shortly after it opened.
"Plac Europejski (European Square) is a relatively new spot on the map of Warsaw (it has been there since May, 2016); it is an architectural attraction, often visited both by tourists and the residents of the city. There you can find a stream gurgling in the distance, fountains with benches placed around them and very interesting specimens of architecture (including one of the highest office blocks in Europe, and the futuristic mass of Genesis restaurant). From the side of Grzybowska street, the square is framed with Art Walk passage, a 57-metre-long art gallery, in which various works of art are displayed all year round. In summer there are sunbeds, as open-air film screenings are organized here, whereas in winter a free rink is set up on this spot."

The Port of Kobe located at a foothill of the range of Mount Rokkō is a Japanese maritime port in Kobe, Hyōgo in the greater Osaka area, backgrounded by the Hanshin Industrial Region. In 1970s the port boasted it handled the most containers in the world.
The Great Hanshin-Awaji earthquake on January 1995 destroyed the port seriously and halted much of the facilities and services there ,but has recovered its facilities in two years. and It remains Japan's busiest container port.

Jindabyne is a town in south-east New South Wales, Australia that overlooks Lake Jindabyne near the Snowy Mountains, in Snowy Monaro Regional Council. It is a popular holiday destination year round, especially in winter. This is due to its proximity to major ski resort developments within the Kosciuszko National Park, including Thredbo, Perisher and Charlotte Pass. Originally situated on land that is now under Lake Jindabyne, the township was transferred to its present location in the 1960s due to the construction of Jindabyne Dam, on the Snowy River, as part of the Snowy Mountains Scheme. At the 2016 census, Jindabyne had a population of 2,629 people. The town's name is derived from an aboriginal word meaning valley. Jindabyne is one of the highest settlements of its size in Australia, at 918 metres above sea level. Light snowfalls sometimes occur during winter. In mid-July in 2004 and 2005, snow fell up to half a metre following freak snowfalls over a large area of New South Wales. Jindabyne is connected to the surrounding area by Kosciuszko Road & North via Canberra, the Alpine Way West to the Riverina and Wodonga and the Barry Way to the South and Gippsland. 27424
(Second of two) This female Guianan Trogon, Trogon violaceus, was perched just off the main drive into the Asa Wright Nature Centre. We were able to watch her moving from branch to branch and eating.
The Guianan Trogon was recently split from Violaceous Trogon.

Participo por segunda vez a ese lindo proyecto colectivo y este año, la búsqueda me ha llevado a encontrar tesoros muy vinculados a emociones de mi niñez. Todas las fotos están hechas con mi 50mm, mi joya, mi tesoro, al que siempre vuelvo cada vez que quiero trasmitir una emoción. Están hechas en ciudades o pueblos del Sur de Francia o de Cataluña: Céret (mi pueblo), Barcelona, Perpignan, Pézenas, Mende.
Creo profundamente que este instante mágico que nos hace vibrar, al momento mismo que fotografiamos un tesoro que acabamos de encontrar, este sentimiento profundo que nos dice "ésta es la foto" nos viene directamente de emociones profundas, como pueden ser las de nuestra niñez, y con las cuales, gracias a la foto, volvemos a conectar. Así se establecen conexiones invisibles entre las calles que recorrimos y las calles de nuestra memoria. Disfruté mucho tejiendo esta red invisible a lo largo del mes de Julio 2016.
Jackie y compañer@s, este año os presento dos mosaicos. Éste es el más "íntimo", relacionado con momentos muy definidos de la vida de aquella niña que todavía vive en mi corazón. Me ha llevado a crear en paralelo otro proyecto fotográfico, "Love is the answer", que continuará después del mes de julio. Acompaño cada foto con una canción o una música en coherencia con la emoción que sentí al hacer la foto, o que siento ahora mirándola.
Como en la edición pasada, me ha encantado esa búsqueda colectiva. Creo sólo en el hecho de participar ya hemos encontrado nuestro primer tesoro: la belleza de buscar y compartir entre todos todos esos detallitos de nuestro entorno que ya por sí solos hacen que la vida valga la pena ser vivida.
