Go red this February and join in the fun for National Heart Month.

2011 is the British Heart Foundation's 50th birthday, so what better time to join the celebrations? Get involved in Red for Heart to help raise funds for their vital work.

The BHF is the nation's heart charity. Their vision is a world where people don't die prematurely from heart disease.

They look to achieve this through pioneering research, vital prevention activity and ensuring quality care and support for everyone living with heart disease.

There's lots you can do to keep your heart healthy - whatever your age.

Taking exercise, eating a healthy diet, encouraging children to be heart healthy and being aware of dangers such as smoking, drinking, high blood pressure and stress.

Prevention really is better than cure. People of all ages who are physically active are half as likely to get cardiovascular disease as those that are inactive. And a healthy diet helps to reduce your risk of developing heart disease, or if you've already got heart problems it will help to protect your heart.

We should all be thinking about our heart health and what we can do to keep as healthy as possible.

The night was cold and windy. No rain for a long time and very dry in nature so we had to be careful with the flames. Buckets with water all around....just in case !

Didn't work out the scetch that good so the ideas didn''t totally come out the way i planned but i was fun painting with the XTS homeboys Steh and Qturbo..

This year I plucked up the courage to enter the British Wildlife Photography Awards for the first time and this image made it as far as the shortlist and will be in the BWPA Collection book. There's an award ceremony during the inaugural Wildlife Expo in October which I'd like to attend, but it might be a bit difficult getting time off work (one of the drawbacks of living in the sticks when things are going on in London).

I would like to direct you to The Black Rabbit's "Tabby Cat with Blackbird Nestling", a powerful image which received a well-deserved Highly Commended.

this colorful rock formation looks like it could be the tailings for a mine of some kind. It is all natural - the ores here are ferric and silicates - nothing really worth mining.

Saurons fortress in the land of Mordor - into this tower he poured all his cruel, his malice!

The tower is 1.75m tall and on the base 1.10 wide and the model consists of ca. 50.000+ parts (I actually didn't count them)...

This model was built as part for VirtuaLUGs Lord of the Rings collaboration for Brickworld 2011. I'm happy, that we won the award for "Best Group Display" & that in particular Barad-dûr won, together with the Cuckoo clock, the "Judges Award" (a double win was thus far a precedent).

I took this today evening, Jan.11th :-)

Our little visitor, Miss Panda, rolled her eyes at me and said in a sassy way........

"How do you expect me to ride this thing with such long sleeves?"

Well after taking such an adorable photo, we fixed the problem & off she went. She had a great day of riding. We are sooooo loving her here!

Of all difficulties which impede the progress of thought, and the formation of well-grounded opinions on life and social arrangements, the greatest is now the unspeakable ignorance and inattention of mankind - in respect to the influences which form human character.

Whatever any portion of the human species now are, or seem to be, such, it is supposed, they have a natural tendency to be: when the most elementary knowledge of the circumstances in which they have been placed, clearly points out the causes that made them what they are.

Ong pagoda(Quan de temple) is the Chinese people`s ancient pagoda with the largest scale in Binh Thuan,it is located at Duc Nghia quarter,Phan Thiet City.According to the pagoda`s system of disffused and inherited documents and epoch impinted on the bar of the central chamber top with Chinese sentence:¨" Thien Kien Danh Dan Nien Trong Dong Kiet Tao ",this pagoda was establishes in November Canh Dan year 1770 (The Tiger one).

Its architectual overall since the day of establishment has been the Chinese people`s big temple built to worship Quan Cong.Located on a coparatively large area, this pagoda has got the Chinese people`s specific art decoration and architectural style with rows of linking houses making the form of the word "Kim".The system of poles and rafters have been carved and sculptured very painstakingly and sharply, partly the same as the techniques of carving and sculpture applied in the Vietnamese people`s temples.

Thajok is a Hmong village in the east of Laos close to the Ho Chi Minh trail where there was heavy bombing by the Americans in the early 1960s.

The Hmong are an Asian ethnic group from the mountainous regions of China, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand. Hmong are also one of the sub-groups of the Miao ethnicity in southern China. Hmong groups began a gradual southward migration in the 18th century due to political unrest and to find more arable land.

A number of Hmong people fought against the communist-nationalist Pathet Lao during the Laotian Civil War. Hmong people were singled out for retribution when the Pathet Lao took over the Laotian government in 1975, and tens of thousands fled to Thailand seeking political asylum. Thousands of these refugees have resettled in Western countries since the late 1970s, mostly the United States but also Australia, France, French Guiana, and Canada. Others have been returned to Laos under United Nations-sponsored repatriation programs.

" Reflections Of My New Year 2011 "

Welcoming in a New Year presents an opportunity to all of us to reflect

On our lives and to contemplate making certain changes.

In our fervent quest for happiness and personal satisfaction, we may

Find that we have more choices than we fully realized...

Every new year, I make new year's resolution-only to break them.

This year no resolution, only some guidelines.

I rise and shine, and Welcome to the New Year!

This is a chance for a new beginning, the day I discard destructive

Old habits for healthful new ones.

I will live through each day to the very fullest.

I will not brood about yesterday or obsess about tomorrow.

I will not set far reaching goals or try to overcome all problems at once.

I know I can do something for 24 hours that would overwhelm me, if

I had to keep it up for a lifetime...

I will live 'happy' each day.

I will not dwell on thought that depress me.

I will fill my mind with sunshine and chase that cloud away that fills it.

I will face and accept reality.

I will correct those things I can correct and accept those I cannot.

I will improve my mind and way of thinking.

I will make a conscious effort to be more agreeable and to listen more.

I will do something positive to improve my health.

If I'm overweight, I will eat healthily.

Finally, I will gather the courage to do what is right and take

Responsibility for my own actions.

I will 'Welcome' the world and all the good things it offers.

I will 'live' to 'live'...
