This week was okay. I am trying to get better in school but it's really giving me a hard time since I don't get too much sleep lately. I really have to change my attitude towards school and life in general as my current one isn't making me happy at all. I hope that somehow I find the strength and motivation to do so.
We've been to the "museum-waterside-festival" (really cheap translation) this weekend. It was crazy but fun.

I had a appointment last Thursday to shoot with Miriam but the problem was she was ill. Dominic, one of my best mates helped me out to do some portraits for my #100 project. One or two beer later, this portrait was happen. I pick up an idea which had "vfm4" because this is a nice idea to come over from photo to photo.
Strobe info: 400ws mono Light in a gridded 120cm Octabox metered to f5.6 as main light. VC300 with stripe box right and left behind Dominik for rim light metered to F/4. 430 EXII with socked beautydish from top metered to F2.8. 580 EXII with full power against back drop. Triggert with miniTT1, flexTT5, AC3 ZoneController and Phottix Atlas
Camera info: Canon EOS 5D mkII with mifty/fifty (EF 50mm 1.8 II) attached at 1/125sec, F5.6 and ISO100

A couple of small character portrait studies. Both 8x8inch Acrylic & Emulsion on Canvas.
Thinking of working on a larger piece along these lines, with more figures and portraits all interchanging with the abstract line work. May even introduce some of the layering techniques I've been using lately with some typography.

I first photographed this spot 2 years ago when still shooting film. I decided to return as I was fortunate to have clouds during sunset & came up with this. Named as titled, literally tens of thousands have photgraphed it, majority of which is to the rear from where this was taken, so here's another perspective. The Virgin River is seen snaking thru, captured in Zion National Park.
