TSR 2 still a byword for prematurely cancelled projects. "TSR2 is redolant of dreams of empire inconsistant with todays world" was one much-repeated quote. It was the latest in a whole series of brilliantly concieived British aircraft projects cancelled before the World markets could pass judgment

TSR 2 , Miles M52, Fairey Rotodyne . . .the list goes on and on.

Had the TSR 2 gone into service it would probably still be in service today with the RAF . . . and severeal other airforces of the World.
