The only good thing about last year's removal of the signal bridge at Forest Ave is that it opened up this north side view to the west.

Surgery #2:
To resolve breathing issues due to a paralyzed right diaphragm causing a collapse of the right lung.
Post surgery #2:
Not only is he looking better, he's much calmer and can breath much easier. Doesn't need the face mask to blow oxygen into his lungs and both lungs can now work in unison.
Surgical story:
Once the surgery was complete, the anesthesiologist was removing the breathing tube inserted down his nose. Even under the anesthesia, the Dr.'s said he was still feisty and even tried pulling out the breathing tube himself.
He's our little fighter. :)
Ljubljana (locally: [lʲubˈlʲana] ( listen); Lə-yoob—Lə-YAnah; German: Laibach, Italian: Lubiana, Latin: Labacum or Aemona) is the capital and largest city of Slovenia and its only centre of international importance. It is located in the centre of the country in the Ljubljana Basin, and is the centre of the City Municipality of Ljubljana. With approximately 272,000 inhabitants, it classifies as the only Slovenian large town. Throughout its history, it has been influenced by its geographic position at the crossroads of the Slavic world with the Germanic and Latin cultures.
For centuries, Ljubljana was the capital of the historical region of Carniola. Now it is the cultural, educational, economic, political and administrative centre of Slovenia, independent since 1991. Its transport connections, concentration of industry, scientific and research institutions and cultural tradition are contributing factors to its leading position.
2014: 365-2 REFLECTION: Four years ago I made a new year's resolution that I was going to meet new friends and follow where God led me. I was looking to meet some "girl" friends as all my friends that are girls live far away. On January 2nd four years ago, I decided to go on a photo walk with some other photographers. Not knowing that any guys would be on this walk. I remember clearly seeing Brian walk up and thinking sarcastically "Great what is this guy doing here?" I didn't think anymore of it as I moved through the museum taking pictures. I was standing in one room looking at a picture and I heard a voice audibly saying "IT'S HIM! HE'S HERE!" I looked around and no one was even near me... I was hearing things in my head. Again I heard a voice audibly saying "IT'S HIM! HE'S HERE!" I turned a full 360 degrees and the only other person in the room was Brian. I shook it off and walked away clearly avoiding HIM.
Later that day as we were walking the downtown streets I stopped to take a picture, Brian said something to me about a setting on my camera. He reached out to grab my camera and I was literally transported back in time. Like a movie reel playing out in black and white, I was sitting on a porch in the western days watching HIM (Brian) get off a horse and walk toward me. This vision back in time lasted less than a split second It was enough to shake me and I yanked my hand back, thanked him kindly and skedaddled away from him.
I truly believe it was our souls connecting. I just wasn't willing to listen that closely at that time. Fast forward 5-6 months later and Brian and I were comparing stories and he told the same story of a flashback to the same time, only from his perspective... He was walking toward me in my prairie dress sitting on a porch in a rocking chair.
This is the ongoing story of us and our intertwined lives...stay tuned for more of the story...
