Exposure: 20*600s Luminance, 10*300s bin2x2 RGB (each), 8*900s h-alpha.

Eenmaal per week wordt het chemicaliën bedrijf Elementis in Delden bediend met een paar (gas)ketelwagens. Op woensdag 2 mei 2018 bestond de terugrit uit Delden uit 3 gasketelwagens en 1 normale ketelwagen. Trein 45767 passeert de aanwezige fotografen vlak voor het station van Delden en zal na een stop van 2 minuten doorrijden naar Bad Bentheim.

Vanuit Salzbergen werd richting de lijn Münster - Hamm - Schwerte gereden, op zoek naar een fotostek. De 182 560 zou aansluitend nog een lege "Sonderzug" naar Basel (en Chiasso) rijden, maar helaas werd geen goede locatie gevonden, en vertrok de trein pas 2,5 uur later dan gepland. Er werd besloten nog een poging doen om lege kolentrein 47710 te fotograferen, wat (na contact met de collega) haalbaar moest zijn. Kort na aankomst in Dülken kwam de trein reeds het station binnen rijden, maar bleef daar staan. Maarliefst 3 treinen moesten kruisen, precies in een enorm zon-gat. Op het moment dat we het vertrek verwachtten schoof een enorme wolk voor de zon, en werd besloten dan maar snel richting Breyell te rijden. Eenmaal bij de auto was er nog geen "Class-geronk" te horen, en kwam uit het niets de zon weer tevoorschijn. Snel weer terug naar de stek, en na de volgende kruising moest het dan tóch gaan lukken. Dezelfde wolk schoof inmiddels weer doodleuk voor de zon, en leek (zoals Robert al schreef) aan identiteitscrisis te lijden. Eind goed al goed, er werd precies lang genoeg gewacht om het geheel in een heerlijk zomers zonnetje vast te leggen. RheinCargo DE668 trekt lege kolentrein 47710 naar Amsterdam Westhaven op 20 augustus 2016 langs de fotografen in Dülken.
Well truth be told, I don't have any fictitious figures lying around the house. I looked just about everywhere and nothing. My friend Helen is hosting the Macro Mondays group this week so I wanted to come up with something for the theme. I decided it was time to widen the search, my son Daniel happened to be home so it was time to see what he had. Well Daniel has all kinds of fictitious action figures that come as models and he assembles. Both my son's grew up in the war gaming world, my one son designs them for a living and Daniel enjoys putting them together. I chose Unicorn, a derivation of the original Gundam, a little warrior ready for battle. I'm good with that and that's the extent of my knowledge so please no questions. I will add you're looking at 1.5 inches from the tip of his helmet wing thing to the bottom of the red marking on the shield he's holding. Shot with one light off to the left and some fairy lights in the back, for my good bokeh friends, sorry no bubbles from the Voigtlander...
