Completing a thru hike, namely the Via Alpina, has been on my bucket list for years, but I don't have the time to spend more than a month on the trail. Right now I even don't have the time to spend a week on the trail. More likely my daily responsibilities will allow me to hike once a week. As I'm anyway not too good on following well established trails, I decided to study the map and plan my own "thru hike". Planning and studying maps is almost as much fun as hiking. I hope to walk every meter on this trail from the lake in front of my doorsteps to the next big lake in the mountains. Let's go.
