Updated version to a much older shot posted recently. This time I'm proud to use my own ring. The text is Jeremiah 31:31-34, in which God displays his love for man. I have much to learn.

J’aurais pu composer un texte pour cette photo, mais je trouvais que celui-ci le faisait mieux que tout ce que j’aurais pu écrire.
« L’amour est patient, l’amour est serviable, il n’est pas envieux ; l’amour ne se vante pas, il ne s’enfle pas d’orgueil, il ne fait rien de malhonnête, il ne cherche pas son intérêt, il ne s’irrite pas, il ne médite pas le mal, il ne se réjouit pas de l’injustice, mais il se réjouit de la vérité ; il pardonne tout, il croit tout, il espère tout, il supporte tout ». L’amour est un acte d’action et de volonté. Il n’est pas toujours facile d’aimer et parfois les gens qu’on désire aimer ne le mérite pas. C’est à ce moment que la volonté d’aimer prend toute son importance. La seule fois où j’ai vu un tel acte d’amour, c’est lorsque Jésus-Christ mort à la croix paya de sa vie pour mes péchés et ainsi rétablir ma relation avec Dieu son Père.
Depuis que j’ai pris conscience de cela, il y a 25 ans, j’essaie chaque jour d’appliquer ce type d’amour autour de moi, car ce que j’ai reçu, je désire le redonner.
La vie de couple est probablement la terre la plus fertile pour semer et aussi pour récolter ce type d’amour. J’ai compris depuis longtemps que l’émotivité et les sentiments ne sont pas de l’amour, mais le résultat de celui-ci.
La croix est un acte d’amour sans équivoque et pourtant beaucoup rejette cet amour. Il n’en demeure pas moins que cet amour est disponible à toute personne le désirant. Ceux et celles qui rejettent cet amour, n’auront qu’eux même à blâmer.
L’amour se donne et il doit être reçu comme un don et non comme une obligation!

I saw a child do this with her Bible in church today and thought... hmm! Couldn't get the framing and focus and lighting right all at the same time so this heavily cropped image is the best I could manage.

I was walking on the beach the other day, and I asked God to reveal something about Himself to me. I felt myself compelled to walk over to a rock at the edge and I have already posted the shot of the shell "standing up" well this is the same shell,I just walked to the other side and saw this wonderful heart! I thought oh wow... He loves me!!
It was that simple, that profound, that wonderful in one moment!
