(Paolo Borsellino, in un'intervista a Sposini, inizio luglio 1992)
Well, i got this idea fromBrittany Chavez.
It's definitely not as good as her's, but i thought i would try it.
While walking around the Hollycombe Steam Collection in Liphook Hants I noticed 2 ladies who were operating the steam machinery running the Victorian fun fair. I got into conversation with one of them Juliette who was operating "Big John" a large 1906 steam engine that originally powered a saw mill but now provides power to the classic "Golden Gallopers" roundabout. she had been at the engine since 8am getting it ready and up to steam for the day ahead. I asked how she became involved in Steam. She told me that her parents had started as volunteers in 1987 and from a little girl she had spent all school holidays helping at the collection. She had a large number of volunteers friends, and that is how she met her husband, who came with his farther and grand farther. There son is now also a volunteer so that makes 4 generations, who have the power of steam in their veins.
Juliette was delighted to be asked to become one of my 100 strangers.

Eva: Hey Dave, I'm an angel!
Dave: True. You really are quite a good girl.
Eva: Yup a real angel. I even got my own halo.
Dave: I'm not sure about that.
Eva: Yup. A real halo. I think it's a sign that I'm a really good pup so you should give me more of those dog treats.
Dave: Not so sure that's a halo. More like really strong backlighting and a bit of lens flare.
Eva: Oh. In that case maybe it's a sign of how I'm such a good model to help you get good rim lighting and lens flare so you should reward me with more of those dog treats.
-----------
It's been a busy week so I was unsure what type of photo I would be able to get. Turns out I made it home from work in time to grab this shot of Eva in the park as the sun was setting. Love that whole face happy thing she has going on here. My wife calls it "fish face" - I'm not sure what type of fish looks like this, but it does seem to work well as a description.

Overwhelment is about you not being up to speed with what you told the Universe that you want. The Universe is yielding to you. You're just not ready to receive it right now. Abraham-Hicks
Wim (stranger 19)
With visible pleasure, Wim sits behind his drum set during the exhibition 'digging into the past' of the old brick kilns along the river De IJssel. We see Wim sitting in a corner of an old brick oven, with all kinds of shelves in the background. Together with his friends, he provides the musical accompaniment to the exhibition, where all kinds of old objects can be seen that were found during recent excavation work. The pleasure with which he plays radiates from him. It's the middle of the day and I have to do my best to get a well-exposed photo.
This is the 19th photo of my 4th round of the 100strangers project. I like doing it, that's why it's already the 4th round.
