Delaware & Hudson S/B train RW-6 (Rouses Point, NY to Washington, D.C. - Potomac Yard) is coming off of the Buffalo Line, about to cross Roberts Valley Road. The track to the left is the lead to the Rockville Bridge. GP39-2-7616, GP38-2s-7325, 7374 & GP39-2-7407 are on the point.
My Dad through very meager times always reached out and held my hand. A. Lorne Banfield (1917 - 2004). A Lance Corporal during War Time but a Grand Banks Dory Cod Fisherman to start his life. Orphaned at 8 the children were dispersed and he ended up in Garnish Newfoundland with a caring Uncle. Poverty and struggle was just a part of life in Rural NL. So many stores he passed along. He lost his brother at sea hit by the boom of their sailing ship. Just one story stands out with humor for me is that everything was rationed for food after what could be sold for salted meat. He always volunteered to milk the cows. He discovered he could have a great morning drink by using a field straw and not break the cream on the top of the bucket so no one was the wiser.
Image of mine shot on Ilford 100 using my Pentax K1000 or the ME Super with standard 50 mm lens. Been a long time so can't remember which body. I was at college studying basic photography and this was an subject study shot.
Part of a collection of classics down the same road (amongst other old stuff), this looked in remarkable shape for a former working vehicle. These walkthrough vehicles never cut the nicest looking shape, but are exotic oddities on the road these days, it'd be interesting to know the history for something like this.
A total of 1,305 Ferrari 400 cars were made. Due to the America's smog and safety regulations, the 400i never made it onto their market. This 1982 Ferrari 400, BFX 639Y, was seen in the Cotswolds.

I was working on the Shop fronts at the Albert Dock and I used to carry My Ziess Ikon 6x6 film camera with me and this is one of the resulting images I took around 1982 at around 7.30 in the morning.
The Nettar series by Zeiss Ikon was a successful range of folding cameras for 120 roll film. Several types for 6×9cm, 6×6cm and 6×4.5cm format with different lenses and even more different shutters were offered. I still have mine.
Unfortunately the digital era has destroyed the art of darkroom processing.
Closely head-on, chosen possibly to hide an in-shot bulbous water tower is loco 50 3557 facing east and likely the 16.18 empty stock working to Thale.

*Could be 139,060, but as it only covered 759 miles between 2006 and 2019, I suspect the mileage really is that low.
Early 80s Audi 80 seen at the same location as the estate, Audi's of this era are very rare to see now, they didn't survive as well as VWs and Mercs, taxed to July 2026.
I must admit that I've never liked these; in fact I'm not that keen on any of the TR series. Spitfires and GT6s yes. Like any old car though, it's nice to see it out and about, and I prefer it to most cars from the 21st century.
It changed owners last year.

Wouldn't be a Sicilian car without a little damage over the years. I actually saw this same car about 5 miles away later the same day, I didn't realise this until I checked the plates later on. This was the better of the two shots.
This is one of the cars that took part in the Grand Prix Masters F1 Cars 1966-1985 race at the Silverstone Classic meeting in July 2010. It's Dave Abbott's Arrows A4 with which the Arrows team competed in the 1982 season and has a 2,993cc V8 Cosworth DFV engine. It was designed by Dave Wass and driven that season by Brian Henton, Marc Surer and Mauro Baldi, the latter having a fifth place and a sixth place finish to earn 3 points in the World Drivers' Championship whilst Mauro Baldi had two sixth place finishes and Brian Henton didn't score any points in his three races.

The Gamma was Lancia's top-of-the-line model from 1976 until 1984. It was designed by Leonardo Fioravanti, working for Pininfarina. Despite its fastback rear it was a 4-door saloon. This one has a 2.5 litre 4-cylinder boxer engine with 140 PS.
Class 40 40009 stand's at Chester station with the 14:00 Llandudno to York. It had been another great day photographing Class 40 's in the Chester area. 14/08/1982.
