NGC 6888 - Crescent Nebula (and open cluster IC 4996).
The Crescent Nebular was formed when the stellar wind of Wolf–Rayet star WR 136 collided with material the star ejected during its super red giant phase. Wolf–Rayet stars are a rare set of stars with strong stellar winds and surface temperatures as high as 200,000 K. This faint emission nebula is located along the plane of the Milky Way in the constellation Cygnus.
With an apparent diameter of 1/3 of a degree - a little smaller than the moon - and a distance of 5k light-years, this nebular is approximately 25 light-years in diameter. At abut 15x the mass of our sun, and 4.7 Myrs old, WR 136 is nearing the end its life - which will end in a bang, as a supernova.

Also known as Caldwell 27 and Sharpless 105. NGC6888 is an emission nebula in the constellation of Cygnus (The Swan), it formed from the fast stellar winds from star HD 19263 (Wolf-Rayet/WR136) colliding with and energizing the slower moving winds ejected by the star when it became a red giant around 400,000 years ago and the result is a shell of two shock waves, one moving outward and the other inwards. There is also a very faint reflection nebula in some areas. NGC6888 is 5,000 light years distant with a 10th magnification.

It is a member of the bird family Columbidae (doves and pigeons). In common usage, this bird is often simply referred to as the pigeon. The domestic pigeon descended from this species. Escaped domestic pigeons have raised the populations of feral pigeons around the world. Wild rock doves are pale grey with two black bars on each wing, whereas domestic and feral pigeons vary in colour and pattern. Few differences are seen between males and females. The species is generally monogamous, with two squabs (young) per brood. Both parents care for the young for a time. Habitats include various open and semi-open environments. Cliffs and rock ledges are used for roosting and breeding in the wild. Originally found wild in Europe, North Africa, and western Asia, pigeons have become established in cities around the world. The species is abundant, with an estimated population of 17 to 28 million feral and wild birds in Europe alone. 19263

Malgré la présence du logo sur la façade, la DB a définitivement fermé son guichet de vente à Schaffhausen, ne maintenant qu'un distributeur automatique sur le quai.

Holiday bus….
Stagecoach have a small fleet of deckers in Ayr, mainly for the service to the Craig Tara Caravan Holiday Park at Heads of Ayr. At one point this used to be a Butlins holiday camp with its own Railway Station but that was culled in the 1960s and since then Western have provided a bus service linking the resort with Ayr itself.
The Butlins camp was rebranded in the 1980s as WonderWest Wonld in Ayr. It closed in 1998 as a Butlins holiday camp and transferred to its sister company Haven who re-opened it in 1999 as a static caravan park, re-purposing some of the original Butlins’ facilities. It’s since went from strength to strength, welcoming thousands of visitors each year to explore this beautiful part of Scotland.
Seen here is 19263 (MX08GOK). The Manchester registration reveals this to be an ex-Stagecoach Manchester bus originally but it’s been repainted in the new livery. I’m still not sure of this livery but this bus doesn’t look too bad in it.
Seen here in Piccadilly Gardens bus station in Manchester city centre about to start a 142 service is the upper deck of this Sharston-based ADL Enviro400, which is painted in a revised magic bus livery, which it received just over a year ago, and is numerically the last of this batch in this particular fleet.

Unter der Verantwortung der Westfalendampf fuhr die Lok 01 150 der Eisenbahnstiftung Joachim Schmidt am 9. September 2017 einen Sonderzug von Menden (Sauerland) nach Boppard. Bei Dellwig-Altendorf ist der Zug Fröndenberg en Schwerte over de obere Rurtalbahn onderweg, wáhrend es ständig durchregnete.
