Went on a winter hike today. It was so beautiful but the ice was so dangerous and you boys kept insisting on walking on it. After not taking any of my warnings seriously and just plain ignoring me we came home early. I should have taken my own advice since I was the one who fell down several times.
Picked up my requested book from the library. Now I can participate in the 1 Book 1 Twitter thing. They're on chapters 7&8 and I've just started chapter 2. I've got some reading to do!

"Sol" Solstice
Hello! and no, I haven't lost my camera nor dropped of the planet, but the last three months have been busy busy busy and things have gone on hold for a while, as various projects were coming to conclusion. I have closed one journey and passed the last part of my UK unrestricted motorcycle licence, and thus went straight out to buy myself a big girls bike too. Welcome to the fold Honda CB600/ Hornet FS. Inbetween all that excitement I've squeezed a few little holidays, and the beginning of my next long term project. All part of fulfilling dreams. And as slow going as that bit is at the moment, looking back on this harrowing bike journey, sometimes all it takes is for all the pieces to line up. And I am sure this will happen.

A radiant Sun shines down upon a naked child riding a horse. The child holds in its hand a large red banner signifying positive action, and also wears a wreath of flowers and a red feather. The child represents the path toliberation and spiritual illumination - symbolically they are one and the same - and we are reminded that even the greatest mystical adept has to become innocent and humble like a child before attaining a sense of enlightenment.
The horse is a symbol of solar energy and the young rider does not have a saddle or bridle, indicating a state of perfect balance. Behind the horse and rider is the domain of humans, represented by a brick wall and a cultivated garden. Four large sunflowers are clearly visible, and represent the four elements, Earth, Air, Fire and Water, as well as the four kingdoms of nature, mineral, vegetable, animal and human.
