The sun came out again today!! This morning it was rainy and stormy and windy and trees were falling over, but suddenly it all disappeared and the sun was shining. I love stormy days, the sun always comes out in the end. :)

Limestone Quarry in Faxe, Zealand.
It is hard to imagine, that 20,000 years ago, this area was covered by massive ice.
63 million years of history, exposed by Denmarks largest man-made hole in the ground: A 110 acre open quarry that has been the site of limestone production for over 900 years.

Engine No. 18 is operated by the Carson & Colorado Railroad non-profit based in Independence, California. The former Carson & Colorado/Southern Pacific narrow gauge steam engine finished restoration in 2017. In March 2023, the engine was relocated to Laws Museum for fundraising events and a photo shoot with Lerro Photography.
