The Steel City Zoo
Jonah and I built this over the span of a week in mid-June. We had been toying with the idea for awhile, and wanted to have it completed for some LUG displays for the summer. The Zoo measures 40x40". There are plenty of fun details so check out all the pictures.
Reverse lens macro with my 18-55mm; I guess I finally found a way to work with this lens and I actually like it.

I have never owned or used the Fuji 18-55mm zoom but I do own and use a Nikon 18-55mm (lens on right) on Nikon bodies.
Like the Fuji 18-55, the Nikon 18-55 is an APS-C kit lens that has excellent image quality, image stabilization (called vibration reduction), and a variable aperture.
The only reason I did not buy a Fuji 18-55 is that I learned from my Nikon experience that I do not like variable aperture zoom lenses. Therefore, I purchased the 16-55mm f/2.8 Fujinon (lens on left) for my Fuji X body.
