Zwei Stunden in Satzkorn, fünf Minuten Sonne..
Glücklicherweise reichte es am 27. Mai 2022 für ein Bild mit Sonne, in diesem Fall mit 442 129 welche als RB 18471 aus Oranienburg nach Potsdam fuhr.
Op 27 mei 2022 stond ik twee uur lang in Satzkorn en hoopte op vele gaten in de wolken. Helaas kwam er in de paar minuten dat de zon scheen slechts één trein langs en die is hier te zien (treinstel 442 129 als stoptrein 18471 van Oranienburg naar Potsdam Hbf).
Two hours in Satzkorn on May 27th 2022 produced just one sunny shot... ah well, you win some, you lose some. Seen here is regional train RB 18471 from Oranienburg to Potsdam Hbf...

Withdrawn on 13th October 2017, 18471 was one of many TAs that received a refurbishment at ADL Harlow as an 'insurance policy' against the late arrival of smart hybrids.

After life at TfL ended 18471 was partly open-topped for use on megasightseeing in London and was named 'Queen Elizabeth II'.

LX55 ERK 18471 was new to London in 2005 transferred and converted to open for MegaSightSeeing London in 2017/2018 then transferred to SC Midlands Stratford Upon Avon in 2019 and entered service on the Stratford tour in 2021
After no presence in the Shakespearean town during 2020, the Stratford on Avon Tour returned in 2021 with former Megasightseeing examples 18471, 474, 475, 482 & 496. This one had been new to Catford, and unlike the other LX55s doesn’t have the extra lights in the bumper. Pictured here on the A3400 / Birmingham Road, approaching the final eleventh stop on the Tour, for the Maybird Retail/Shopping Park.

These have replaced older 17412, 417, 494, 527 & 575, of which 17527 has seen use this year whilst the newer fleet settle in. This shot sees 18471 turning off Southern Lane into Old Town, to serve the sixth stop on the tour, for Shakespeare’s Grave.

After no presence in the Shakespearean town during 2020, the Stratford on Avon Tour returned in 2021 with former Megasightseeing examples 18471, 474, 475, 482 & 496. These have replaced older 17412, 417, 494, 527 & 575, of which 17527 has seen use this year whilst the newer fleet settle in. This shot sees 18474 turning off Chapel Lane into Waterside, to serve the fifth stop on the Tour, for the River Avon and Royal Shakespeare Theatre. This bus had been new to Stagecoach London at, ironically their Stratford depot, as part of the batch 18463-480.

After no presence in the Shakespearean town during 2020, the Stratford on Avon Tour returned in 2021 with former Megasightseeing examples 18471, 474, 475, 482 & 496. These have replaced older 17412, 417, 494, 527 & 575, of which 17527 has seen use this year whilst the newer fleet settle in. 18475 shows off its retained centre door here, as it departs the Pen & Parchment terminus, beginning another Tour service. It was new to Stagecoach London at, ironically Stratford depot, as part of the batch 18463-480.
