Entally House has a simple and symmetric design which extends to further rooms out the back. A magnificent wisteria grows along the verandah posts with shutters on the windows. The sun dial on the front lawn has been marking time here since 1819.

Green-winged Teal (Anas crecca carolinensis) courtship display

Courtship for the GW Teal starts in the fall and peaks in January and February. They usually choose new partners each year and the male Teal try to attract a mate using an elaborate set of body and vocal displays.....

Taken at Pitsford Reservoir last year, these little birds should be returning any day now...

A smallish wader with contrasting brown upperparts and white underparts. It habitually bobs up and down, known as 'teetering', and has a distinctive flight with stiff, bowed wings. Its presence is often betayed by its three-note call which it gives as it flies off.
