Christmas Bokeh in Fireplace
After I saw Jane's Bokeh this morning I saw a Christmas tree reflection in the fireplace and had to take a shot! :) Thanks for the inspiration Jane :)

Sorry to post and run... A little busy! I'll visit you all tomorrow :)
Paid a visit to Newry and nearby Craigmore viaduct this morning. Was 6 degrees when I left Belfast at 6.30, in Newry it had been freezing during the night as the grass was still covered in frost. Made this HDR image using soft-grad ND filter and the trusted Samyang 12mm wideangle, using 3 bracket HDR.

Un F-18 gasta en torno a los 2.000 litros a la hora volando a lo que en términos automovilísticos podría llamarse una velocidad de crucero. Exprimiendo al máximo los motores, es decir, operando en postcombustión, el consumo se dispara hasta los 6.800 litros a la hora.
It's felt colder than it actually is today so a photo of the frost seemed pretty fitting to me.

Revisiting the flocks with the filter system today and the intention of trying to be subtle with the rainbow effect. I think the overhead clouds gave me an assist and let the filters do their thing in an understated sort of way.

The frost on the car windows this morning made me think of pretty little etched flowers. I thought it was pretty and I'm never one to pass up a pretty frost photo when presented with an opportunity.

It is unknown how the KTnA D-18 “Smolwart” fell into the hands of the ADU, but it was used as a small and compact multi-role jet fighter following the outbreak which resulted from the Phaedra Incident. Several were deployed as anti-air, tactical strike aircraft to eliminate aerial targets over the Mojave Desert and reportedly succeeded in taking down several enemy craft with minimal losses.
After it was deemed that the Phaedra Incident had fallen out of ADU control, several locations were destroyed with nuclear weapons as well most of the D-18s, along with their pilots, in the process. Several years after the accident, the ADU was dissolved for a variety of reasons and the remaining D-18s were rid of.

A series of abstracts, mainly portraits, or composites. They have two things in common: They are taken with slow shutter speeds of several seconds, making the results somewhat unpredictable.
The other thing the images have in common is their complexity. A complexity that invites the viewer to abandon the "fleeting glance". Instead to take the time to investigate the individual elements that slowly become apparent within the frame.
