The mileage recorded on our 2000 Volvo V70 as of today, 17 October 2013.

Other makes of car will have achieved more (or less) miles before being deemed unserviceable or uneconomic to repair or run. However, this Volvo is meeting the reputation of the Volvo brand.

It is reliable, safe, spacious and economic to run (apart from its unquenchable fuel thirst). The car has a petrol 2.4 litre 5 cylinder engine coupled to a Automatic gearbox and weighs almost 2000kg.

Luckily we don't cover that many miles per year.

One could join the Volvo Owners Club and get the car registered for their High Mileage Register. I'd only be eligible for a Bronze for some considerable time...

Gold Class. For Volvo cars that have achieved 500,000 miles and over.

Silver Class. For Volvo cars that have achieved 300,000 to 499,999 miles.

Bronze Class. For Volvo cars that have achieved 150,000 to 299,999 miles.

Historically, the principal economy in the valley was the production of honey and wax: Jesuit priests had introduced this activity originally, producing a barrel or one-and-a-half barrels annually. Valley farmers also routinely cultivated wheat and legumes, taro, pumpkin, squash and tiger nuts during this period of settlement. In 1661, the Corregidor André Lopes Pinto e Vasconcellos ordered the landowners in Furnas to plant at least one alqueire of taro in order to stave off malnutrition, provide feed for pigs and later in order to provide a source of export trade. Lupin beans were also important crops during this period, usually planted between October and November, with some variation in order to increase soil nutrients and support standard crops, such as corn, fava beans and wheat.

on the tube to Heathrow on our way home

I seriously couldn't think of a picture for today. My imagination is on low lately. Any ideas I should do tomorrow would be awesome! lol

Me and my little family are going to go to the mountains tomorrow. We harldy ever get out of the city. I hope there is still snow to see. I'd love to take some forest type pictures with snow. . . oh how I envy those of you in the Pacific Northwest. I've been dying to go up to Oregon or Washington, Forks specifically. Yes I'm a Twilight freek. But it is so pretty up there I really want to go see it, and enjoy nature. If only I had the money and a car that is trust worthy enough to travel that far.

Anyway, TGIF my flickr friends. Have a fun, safe weekend.

1. What are you grateful for today?

Went for June RT and had a catchup with Munyi & Chee Lian.

2. What emotional message did you have today?

Calm. Affirmed.

3. What have you done today that move you forward to achieving your dream or goals?

Told Helen and the others about my resignation and my resignation as a treasurer at MACC.

4. What have you learned today? How can you do it slightly better next time?

Don't let other people's agenda affect my agenda and there is no need to reject immediate although I already know what my decision is, always good to hold back that thought, because the decision is in no hurry, and after my shower at night, I reaffirmed my decision after reconfirming what I truly want, and no one can take over that boundary. It's a well done day.

5. What have you done to leverage your ability today?

Be truly of myself and take over the situation or create the atmosphere for the best of all or to my agenda, make it at least a meaningful conversation for some takeaway.

6. Have you veered off or stayed back at your centre? Have you contracted or expanded?

Remained at centre.

7. What is that one issue that you notice today?

Everyone has an agenda of their own and no matter what situation everyone is in, there is always something one can complain about. Instead of saying what you hate or who you hate, saying what you can do about it and what you learn from it perhaps could be more value-adding to the situation.
