Metra outbound train 703, the first outbound train of the day, pulls into Crystal Lake several minutes behind schedule.
While not that great of picture, if you look at the ORIGINAL size, you'll see that there is a conductor in the cab of the locomotive (right hand side).
The sky was cloudy and overcast all day, not a good one for train pic's, but I did what I could under the circumstances.

I'm having a bad hairday!
It was raining most of the day and at the end of all the rain I saw this bumble bee hanging on to this coneflower.
All wet and with big drops in his fur...
First thing that I thought was:
He's having a really bad hairday :)

I'm so far behind doing my photo-a-day, sheesh.
My friend and I went on a field trip to one of the small towns about an hour away from Abilene. There were several deserted/abandoned structures along the Main Street.
This is one of them, once-upon-a-time a Cafe. The roof, as you can see, has collapsed into the building and there was nothing else to see except the "Cafe" sign. One can only imagine what a cute place it must have been in its day.
The mural on the outside was dated and is only a couple of years old.
My friend offered to pose to give the building some perspective.

Nothing like midsummer here - overcast, windy and a little rain so I took a photo of a summer flower and played with it in Photoshop.
