Kings Canyon. We were limited to only one day to explore Kings Canyon and the Sequoia National Parks and this was the only waterfall with easy access from a parking area. Very pretty waterfall.

This a lovely group of Lime Trees in the Carlow Town Park. They look gorgeous in their beautiful autumnal colours.

Another image from the Bunclody Golf and Fishing club treelined avenue which was taken yesterday. It is certainly a different day today, cloudy and blustery with not much sun. But yesterday was glorious as you can see. Blue skies and glorious sunshine that really enhanced the beauty of the autumnal colours especially on this wonderful tree lined avenue

The lovely avenue leading to the Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club house is a favourite for walkers and their pets from the town of Bunclody and who would blame them. It is a gorgeous walk amongst those beautiful trees.

Do you remember that old song?

For some reason, this photo reminds me of it...

She and her travel companion (see below) were visiting from San Diego.

Thanks so much for all your comments and faves on my last upload...it got pretty high up on the Explore Page :-) ....and strangely enough, that photo just dropped off Explore entirely, from position #17....Flickr fickleness I guess...

Sadly after almost 12 years on Flickr I will be leaving here and deleting my photos as Flickr will soon not allow me to upload NSFW photos unless I have a Pro Account. I've been using Flickr since it was owned by Yahoo and since its been bought out by SmugMug in 2018 it hasn't been the same. If anyone knows of any other photo sharing platforms that are like this one but free then please let me know. I just wanted to post this to let everyone who follows me on here know in case you wondered why I left.

It's censorship what Flickr are about to do when it comes to photos that are NSFW and of an adult nature. It is Flickr saying we don't want you posting NSFW photos but if you pay then you can post NSFW photos.

One of my flickr friends who is not on flickr much anymore (Marah) aka mrendesign www.flickr.com/photos/23163324@N03/ wrote to me about her experience of listing 100 things she is thankful for. I worked on it in spurts these past few days and it was a wonderful experience. The best way to do it is just stream of consciousness without ordering of favorites. I have to say that I put my husband and family and friends first because that is the truth, but the rest of the list just flowed out of me. Try it--it's fun and interesting.

I'm sort of embarrassed (but not wholly) about how many of mine refer to food items.

Goorooyarroo Nature Reserve, part of Canberra Nature Park, is a 703 hectare reserve located in north-east Canberra and includes the prominent hill known as 'Old Joe' on the ACT/NSW border. The reserve borders Mulligans Flat Nature Reserve in the north-west and is separated from the Mount Majura Nature Reserve by Horse Park Drive in the south.

Goorooyarroo, together with Mulligans Flat Nature Reserve, protects 1384 hectares of endangered Yellow Box-Red Gum Grassy Woodland which is the largest remaining area of box-gum woodland in the ACT. In 2018 a 12km predator proof fence was constructed within Goorooyarro Nature Reserve and the adjoining Throsby Offset Area, creating the 801ha Southern Exclosure within Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary. Work is currently underway to remove all vertebrate pest species before reintroducing threatened species.

It is a regional stronghold for several threatened or uncommon woodland plant, grasshopper, lizard, bird and mammal species. It provides habitat for the critically endangered Golden Sun Moth (Synemon plana) and vulnerable Superb Parrot (Polytelis swainsonii).

The reserve contains remnants of historic sites including ACT survey and border markers and a stone fenceline.

Photography happens on earth, and earth needs its champions. If you’ve been around Flickr at all, you know how seriously we take our conservation and sustainability: We’re Certified Evergreen. We’re a Climate Pledge signatory and Climate Neutral Certified. We’re a member of The Conservation Alliance. And today, we’re pleased to join 1% for the Planet, a coalition of businesses who donate 1% of all sales, not just profits, to support verified environmental causes and organizations.

Think about it like this: Photography has existed for a little less than two centuries, but its impact on humanity is immeasurable. As the world’s largest photo community, our mission is to build a better world through the power of photography. Sustainability and conservation are baked right into our very core, and it’s our duty and privilege to protect the open and wild spaces that inspire photographers.

To further our efforts, we also joined the Mobilizing for Monuments Coalition and produced the Mobilizing for Monuments film, advocating for environmental conservation and the preservation of open spaces. And just recently, we conducted a report on how precious these places are to photographers.

OPEN SPACES REPORT

A report on open spaces conducted by Awesome, Inc. on behalf of Flickr surveyed 1,767 photographers, including hobbyists, professionals, and small business owners. Key findings include:

95% of photographers surveyed agreed that limiting access to open spaces would adversely affect their business or craft.

9 out of 10 photographers derived at least a portion of their income from open spaces.

We’re doing what we can to protect these locations and our planet for endless future generations of photographers.
