John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;

but that the world through him might be saved.

For God so loved the world, HE GAVE. Today is the day that we celebrate one of the greatest

events in human history. We celebrate today the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

God's gift to the world. Today is truly a day of rejoicing. Because of this gift from God, we can

be forgiven of our sins and reunited with our Creator for eternity. We must never forget that

our time here is very short, and there is an eternity waiting for us when this journey is completed.

A "Good Friday" message of hope for ALL mankind! You will make many big decisions

throughout your life. Where you will go to college, what career you will have, who you will

marry, having children, to start with are just a few that you will make along life's pathway.

However, there is no decision that you will make during your life greater than where you

will spend eternity when this brief life is over.

The Bible teaches us that tomorrow is promised to none of us and that each day is a

gift from God. When you die, your body will go back to the dust of the earth as God mandated,

but your soul, the part of man made in God's image is eternal. Where your soul spends

eternity is a choice each individual who lives will make during their life. It is God's desire

that ALL come to repentance and none be lost. He sent His Son Jesus to die for the sins

of all mankind so that thru faith in Jesus man could be reconciled back to God and have

the assurance of everlasting life with his Creator.

1. I have a hairless cat named Calvito, which means bald in spanish. He’s like a baby in cat form, really

2. I just about live off salmon sashimi. They know me at the sushi place down the street

3. It is physically impossible for me to go to sleep before 1 am

4. I think that It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the funniest show on the face of the planet

5. I watch hours of reality tv because it’s so damn entertaining. My favorites=kathy griffin, Jon and Kate Plus 8, Tori and Dean, Project Runway, Top Chef, Girls Next Door... :P

6. My most serious injury happened last year when I was washing a ceramic plate and I dropped it in the sink causing it to crack and then stab me deep in the hand. Hahaha it was bad.

7. I drink a cup of green tea every night before bed :)

8. I can be incredibly quiet. And I can be obnoxiously loud. Depends on who I’m around and the mood I’m in

9. I used to figure skate and I quit right when I was getting pretty good. Part of me really regrets it. I always seem to take the easy way out, and I want to change that.

10. I really want to live on the east coast at some point in my life. There’s something about it that I am so attracted to, yet I can’t decide what.

11. (Other than on the head/body), hair grosses me out. Real baaad.

12. Unlike most people my age, I really don’t care much about my cell phone. I’ve dropped one in the pool, the street, and my current one has a huge crack down the center :O

13. I often get into this really philosophical mindset where I question the world and what we’re all doing here and why we’re doing it and how we got here. It sounds crazy. It’s absolutely mind-blowing.

14. Sometimes I get so inspired by so many different things (i.e. photographs, artwork, clothing, colors) that I cannot contain myself. It’s this overwhelming surge of creative energy. Haha I sound nuts.

15. I can’t wait until I have my own home to decorate. I have so many plans!

16. I turn everything into a mirror. Yesterday I stood on top of the cat litter bin in order to see my reflection in the toaster.

This Rollei 16 has been hailed as quite possibly the best subminiature camera ever made. It was made by Frank and Heidecke and produced between 1963 and 1967. Only about 28,000 were ever made. The body is made out of metal and is chrome and matte finish, with black snakeskin inserts. It took pictures on 16mm film with an image area of 12x17mm, and had the capability for 18 exposures in the tiny cartridges it used. It came with a nice wrist strap (which I found out is missing from most of these cameras on the used market), and a thick, leather case for protection. Also featured on this camera was a hotshoe for a matching flash unit and a tripod thread. Now that I've given the specifications of this camera, I'll tell you the reason why I own one.

In 1974, ABC-TV had a show that premiered called "Kolchak: The Night Stalker." It featured Darren McGavin as a newspaper reporter working in Chicago, Illinois and he always seemed to be coming up against monsters, vampires, aliens and swamp creatures. He always had his trusty camera along to get pictures of these monsters and the camera he used was one identical with this Rollei 16. For years, I just assumed he used a cheap 110 camera - one that I didn't think would be good enough quality for newspaper photography. Recently, however, I found out this was not the case. Now knowing that this little camera was one of the best of it's kind, I learned that it would have been quite sufficient for images that would be used in newspapers. The monsters were always chasing Carl Kolchak, so the pictures hardly ever turned out anyway. And the show lasted less than a full season, so I guess we'll never really know if the camera was good enough for newspaper work or not. I always loved the show, since I first saw it in 1974, and have always loved his little camera. Once I found out what kind it was, I located a used one on an online auction site and became the high bidder and became the proud owner of one! I'm so happy with it, but to use it, I've just cut down some 35mm film and shot one negative at a time. Apparently 16mm film is relatively easy enough to find, but you have to have the tiny cannisters to be able to use the film. So, if anybody knows where these can be found, please let me know.
