Voigtländer Superb@V&A, LDN

As it is next to where I work, I popped into the V&A today to see the new photography centre which opened a few days ago.

Camera-wise, there were 2 large floor-to-wall cabinets of mechanical goodness from the early Rolleiflexes to the Zeiss Ikons to the Leica Barnacks all the way to the modern day Leica M6. Quite incredible to look at.

Photograph-wise, it's a celebration of the 20th century photographers and I recognised a few famous names from Magnum. Ideally I'd have liked the exhibit to have included a few younger* photographers, but I did enjoy the selection of the photos given the space constraints.

Good show overall, 3¾/5 and would recommend

16/365 - Entrapment

I wanted this to be about entrapment as part of my ongoing series 'Fears'. The shot was taken in a woodland clearing in my home town. The spiderweb was pretty cool, it came from a fancy dress supply shop. I have waited all year for Halloween to roll around so that I could get spiderweb! I have also just recently met someone who has a big black tarantula. Many thanks to Jake for letting me photograph her for this shot. This is the first time I have tried levitation photography, you get some very strange looks carrying a stool around! I like the effect, the idea started as the model wrapped up in a cocoon, however at the end of the shoot I asked him to break free from the web and I turned out liking that one better. That's the way it goes sometimes. Please let me know what it makes you feel and look out for more from this series very soon.

A képet a férjem eleven011 készítette. Kicsit fáradt vagyok rajta. Phuketen készült ahol több mint 5 órát kellett várakoznunk a reptéren így én probáltam kicsit aludni egy padon :)

Pihe megjelölt így most én is írok pár dolgot magamról:

1. Gyerekkoromban hivatásos turista akartam lenni.

2. Az utazásmániám miatt kezdtem el fotózni is, minél szebb képekkel térjek haza.

3. Évekig pánikbeteg voltam. Ma már csak hisztis :)

4. Hipochonder vagyok. A legnagyobb félelmem hogy allergiás leszek bármire amit épp megettem és megdagad a torkom és megfulladok.

Voltam allergia teszten de nem vagyok semmire allergiás.. de attól még borzasztóan paranoid vagyok :D

5. Kedvenc sorozatom a Vészhelyzet és a Dr House. Újabb betegségeket ismerhetek meg és képzelhetek be magamnak.

6. Akaratos, önfejű, hisztis és precíz vagyok. És szeretek gonoszkodni is :)

7. Minden akkor van elintézve vagy megcsinálva tökéletesen, ha azt én csináltam meg.

8. Ami a szívemen a számon. Mindig meggondolatlanul kimondom amit gondolok. Ez sok emberben nem vált ki szimpátiát.

9. A végletek embere vagyok. Nagyon tudok szeretni és utálni is. A hangulatom is vagy nagyon a toppon van vagy nagyon mélyen...

Nevetni is nagyon tudok. Egyszer valaki azt mondta hogy törvénytelen a nevetésem :)

10. Szeretem magam szörnyűnek és elviselhetetlennek beállítani pedig szeretném azt hinni hogy szerethető vagyok.

11. Borzalmasan kritikus vagyok magammal, elérhetetlen magasra állítom a mércét.

Emiatt a dicséreteket hamis hízelgésnek veszem mert el sem tudom képzelni hogy tényleg igazak lehetnek.

12. Annyira szeretem a cukiságokat, hogy szerintem legbelül egy ázsiai kislány vagyok.

13. Szerencsére a legnagyobb álmaimat eddig mindig sikerült valóra váltanom.

14. Megtaláltam a másik felem.

15. Utálom hogy amióta felnőttem rettentően megfontolt vagyok.

16. Utálom az irigységet és az irigyeket.

This photo taken in Phuket airport where we have to wait more than 5 hour.. so I was little bit tired and try to sleep in the bench :)

I've been tagged by Pihe so here's 16 random things about me:

1. When I was a child, I wanted to become a professional tourist.

2. Due to my passion for travelling, I began taking pictures and I wanted to improve my shots and my technical knowledge.

3. I had panic attacks for years. Nowadays, I'm only in a tantrum :)

4. I'm such a hipochonder. My biggest fear is that I eat something and then it turns out I'm allergic to it, my throat swells up and I choke. I had an allergy test which showed that I'm not allergic to anything. However, I'm extremely paranoid :D

5. My favorite series are ER and Dr. House. I get to know new diseases of which I can be afraid of.

6. I'm wilful, stubborn, sometimes in a tantrum and precise. And now and then I love to be elfish :)

7. Things are settled or done perfectly if I was in charge.

8. Sometimes I say things without thinking them over first.

9. I like to take things to extremes. My love or hate can be very deep. As far as my mood is concerned, sometimes I'm on the top, then deep down at the bottom... You should hear my laughter :) Once someone said that my laughter is out of this world :)

10. I like to represent myself as awful and unbearable, although I like to believe that I'm lovable.

11. I'm my own best critic, I have unreachable standards. I take praises as being false coaxing because I can't imagine that they could be true.

12. I adore cute things so much that I believe I'm a little Asian girl inside.

13. Luckily, I've always been succesful at fulfilling my biggest dreams so far.

14. I've found my other half.

15. I hate the fact that since I've grown up I'm too moderate.

16. I hate envy and envious people.

Sophie and Gizmo went home today so Tigs took over his rightful spot as window warden, he was a little tuckered from the company but he still showed up for his shift.
