Das Kunstzentrum De Boterhal befindet sich im ehemaligen Sint Jans Gasthuis. Da dieses denkmalgeschützte Gebäude aus dem Jahr 1563 ab den zwanziger Jahren einige Zeit als Buttermarkt diente, wird es im Volksmund De Boterhal genannt. In diesem wunderschön restaurierten Gebäude entfaltet die Künstlervereinigung Hoorn und Umgebung seit 1982 ihre Aktivitäten.

Als gebürtiger Düsseldorfer hat es mich schon sehr früh in die Ferne gezogen. Frankfurt, München, Wien, Graz und seit 1999 wohnhaft in Jennersdorf, im wunderschönen Südburgenland.
Im ausgeübten Beruf als Werbegestalter und Grafiker (1966-1992) aber auch in der Selbständigkeit (bis 2012) ist die bildende Kunst immer allgegenwärtig gewesen.
Meine Leidenschaft sind Experimente mit verschiedenen Hilfsmitteln und Materialien wie zum Beispiel:
Kurzfilme mit und ohne Kamera - Kodak-Sofortbilder ganz ohne Kamera - Negativstreifen und Dias anders gesehen - PC-Fehler zur kreativen Weiterverarbeitung verwenden - Digitalfotografie und ihre Möglichkeiten mit einem Apple-Computer kombinieren und verfeinern - und bis heute noch vieles mehr entdecken...
Being quarantined at home and working online I have time to think and imagine.
I was setting out in the back yard and staring at the flowers and once in a while you see something that triggers the imagination like lying in a field as children and looking up at the clouds and trying to find an image... We sometimes look for human emotion in other living things and that’s what I see here. Hope you enjoy it. Peace.
