Glad I brought these inside since we had an intense thunderstorm yesterday and I'm sure any left outside are a mess today. It was reallyhard to pick my favorite shot so you may see more of these. ;-)
I captured todays photo with my cell phone while out on a walk today. Actually, these were off to the side corner of a small cemetery just a little ways up the road from my house. All the people buried there are from the same family who have deep history in the roots of my small town. My family tends to wander in here every so often while we are out on a walk or a bike ride. This usually leads to my kids asking questions about the history here, or the deceased members, or even just about death. I will answer as honestly as I can. We will sometimes get the odd person, history buffs, who will stop at our house and ask for directions to the cemetery because they can't find it...it is within a small group of trees off on the side of the road...if you drive by too fast then you miss it.
It doesn't bother me living near it, but I am sure as a kid I would have been freaked out...maybe that is why my kids like to go in there and look around. The questions they ask though are usually about the childrens headstones. Several of the deceased members are young children, even babies, who had likely died of common diseases which we get vaccinated for today. I am sure my children can't help but be curious because they are just kids themselves. I know I would have been curious too when I was a kid and likely a little creeped out if I had grown up living so close to a cemetery...lol

Entrance of National Archeological Museum, Athens, Greece.
Arrived at 3.40 pm to be greeted that the museum closed at 4.00 pm :( That after 2 miles walk each way. I ended up taking pictures of the entrance instead.
