I have been alluded by this locomotive for well over a year now. On this late July evening I ventured over to Pomona Yard in hopes of getting some rosters of it sitting in the yard. Needless to say I was very pleased when it left to go down this branch with a cut of tanks for a chemical plant just down the line from here.

When I was a kid this was painted in peeling and powdery cyan paint. Sometime since then it's been stripped back to a more pleasing state.

St. Louis–San Francisco Railway 1630 is a preserved class "Ye" 2-10-0 type steam locomotive owned and operated by the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. Today, Frisco No. 1630 is currently one of two operating Decapods in service in America, the other being former Great Western No. 90 at the Strasburg Rail Road outside of Strasburg, Pennsylvania. No. 1630 is also one of three operational steam locomotives at the Illinois Railway Museum.
