Während der Bestand der Bisons vor der Ankunft der europäischen Siedler in Nordamerika auf rund 30 Millionen Tiere geschätzt wird, ging der Bestand bis zum Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts aufgrund exzessiver Bejagung dramatisch zurück. Dank der Gründung des Yellowstone-Nationalparks im Jahr 1872 sowie des Wood-Buffalo-Nationalparks im Jahr 1922 erhielten die Bisons noch rechtzeitig Rückzugsgebiete. Heute wird die Gesamtzahl der wildlebenden Tiere auf mehr als 30.000 Individuen geschätzt. Die Art wird aufgrund ihrer Abhängigkeit von Schutzmaßnahmen und der nur geringen Zahl von Populationen als „potenziell gefährdet“ eingestuft.
Im Mai 2016 unterzeichnete Präsident Barack Obama den National Bison Legacy Act, der den Amerikanischen Bison neben dem Weißkopfseeadler zum Nationaltier der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika macht. Wikipedia

SH2-157 is a bright nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is 43,000 light years from us. its size is roughly 60 x 50 arcminutes, or roughly 759 light years in diameter.
Taken with my William Optics FLT91 with F6AIII 0.8x reducer.

The Lobster Claw Nebula, Sh2-157, is an emission nebula in constellations of Cassiopeia and Cepheus at a distance of 8,000 light years.
The two arcs representing the pincers are thought to be the consequence of a Wolf Rayet star that belongs to the open cluster Markarian 50.
Also note, at the top right of the nebula, the presence of the open cluster NGC7510 located at 11400 Al from us.

SH2-157 and NGC 7635 also known as the Lobster Claw Nebula and the Bubble Nebula dominate this field of view, but are accompanied by NGC7510, the Dormouse Cluster (or Arrowhead Cluster) at the bottom and NGC7538, The Northern Lagoon Nebula at the lower right. This image is located near the border of the constellations Cepheus and Cassiopeia constellations. This area is rich in ionized Hydrogen gas glowing red, and OIII (doubly ionized oxygen) glowing blue.

To get straight out of Derby sharpish, buses use the A6 down to Alvaston, then Shardlow Road down to, well, Shardlow!!
157 is seen approaching Bembridge Drive at the end of Alvaston with a Skylink to Leicester via East Midlands Airport, Kegworth and Loughborough.

Stanice Vlastec je jednou z posledních tří stanic (a jedné zastavky - Sepekov) na trati Tábor - Ražice, která je vybavena mechanickými návěstidly. Ke GVD 2016/17 obsluhovalo stanici v pracovní dny 7 párů osobních vlaků vedených výlučně motorovou jednotkou řady 814 "regionova". Pravidelná nákladní doprava ve stanici není. (Červen 2017)
The Vlastec railway stop is one of four lasting stops on Tábor - Ražice route fitted with mechanical signals. In 2017, all of the passenger trains are lead by class 814 motor coach "Regionova". No regular freight transportation is ongoing on the stop in 2017. (June 2017)
