Wild duck & ducklings

With the sun providing a nice backlight 1533 powers up grade through Featherstone with the diverted 1A28 14:50 Leeds-Kings Cross on Sunday 6th December 1970.

1533 was at the time allocated to York (55B) and remained there until 1974 when,as 47425 it moved to Holbeck. It then moved around depots a great deal,with stints at Stratford,Gateshead,Finsbury Park,York,Tinsley,Crewe and Old Oak Common,from where it was withdrawn in 1993. It was scrapped in 1997.
