Adieu aux BB15000. Na zo goed als 55 jaar trouwe dienst voor de Franse spoorwegen, is het einde voor de BB15000 - ook wel 'La reine de l'Est' genoemd - aangebroken. Op 16 oktober 2025 valt het doek definitief over deze, ooit 65-delige, reeks . Hun inzetgebied en aantallen was al sterk teruggedrongen sinds enkele jaren. Het beperkte zich nog maar tot een aantal slagen tussen Paris-Nord en Amiens, Saint-Quentin en Creil met de V2N-dubbeldekkerstammen. Sinds het einde van afgelopen zomer was dit aanbod nog verder teruggedrongen, mede door de verhuis van een deel V2N-stammen naar Lille, waardoor de enige fotografeerbare slag bij daglicht vanuit Saint-Quentin kwam te vervallen. Daarentegen kwam er een avondrit bij waar fotografisch gezien niet veel mee aan te vangen viel. Toch had ik het idee hier eens iets mee te proberen tijdens de kortere dagen van het jaar. Toen vorige week het nieuws naar buiten kwam dat de 15000'en nog een tweetal weken te leven hadden, moest er gas bijgegeven worden. De avonden vielen al vroeg genoeg om hier iets mee te gaan doen.
Tijdens de avond van vrijdag 10 oktober zou ik in Saint-Quentin overnachten in verband met het werk. Dat zag ik als een ideale gelegenheid om hier een avondfoto in het station van Saint-Quentin aan te koppelen. Ik wachtte nog even af met juichen want de geplande ritten durven last-minute wel eens door een treinstel gereden te worden. Gelukkig leek alles toch volgens de theorie voorzien te gaan rijden. Nadat ik mijn namiddagdienst beëindigd had en nog wat uitgerust had in het hotel, maakte ik mij klaar om richting het station te gaan. De trein uit Parijs zou om 19:11 aankomen en terug vertrekken om 19:48 naar de hoofdstad als trein 847923.
Nadat " le mécano" van kant gekeerd was, kon het opstellen beginnen. Verstrooid als ik was, vergat ik een onmisbaar onderdeel van het statief om de foto te kunnen maken. Ik repte me terug naar het hotel om dit te gaan halen. Ik was even opgelucht als ik op tijd terug op het perron stond. Een aantal minuten voor vertrek kon de 15040 gefotografeerd worden die zich in de startblokken zet om te vertrekken als TER 847923 naar Paris-Nord aan het einde van het blauwe uurtje. Wat ik toen nog niet goed besefte, is dat dit hoogstwaarschijnlijk mijn laatste foto van een BB15000 zal geweest zijn. Het fotoarchief bezit nog rijkelijk plaatjes van deze knappe reeks 'Nez Cassés' die hier wel een keer zullen verschijnen.

La BB15040 en tête d'une V2N Picarde est vue peu après la gare de Gannes et assure un TER Amiens > Paris Nord.
A 5 Km dall’uscita autostradale di Alessandria est (TO-PC) sorge il borgo di Piovera.
Circondato da un fossato e da un vasto parco, il castello si affaccia sulla piazza del paese e si mostra ora dopo successivi rifacimenti che però non hanno intaccato la struttura originaria a ferro di cavallo con quattro torri ovali poste sugli spigoli esterni.
Costruito interamente in mattoni nel XIV secolo sotto i Visconti di Milano, su antecedenti accampamenti e sulle rovine di un convento, fu fortezza e poi residenza marchionale. Passò sotto il dominio degli Spagnoli, dai Visconti fino ai Savoia che insignirono del feudo di Piovera Francesco Maria Balbi, ultimo feudatario. Dalla fine degli anni sessanta ne è proprietario Niccolò Calvi di Bergolo.
Oggi l’insieme dei fabbricati scenografici ed articolati e del giardino ha un aspetto decisamente romantico.

Stagecoach 15040 LX09AAO is seen pulling into Walthamstow Central in the winter sun, off to Stratford City. When the 97 tenders are announced I highly doubt these Scanias will last very long, my prediction is them going to do non London Stagecoach operations.

A pochi chilometri dall'uscita dell'autostrada A21 Alessandria Est, il castello di Piovera si impone come un edificio estremamente scenografico e imponente.
Circondato da un vasto parco con annessa tenuta agricola è tuttora difeso da una cinta muraria e da un fossato risalenti al XIV sec.
Su antecedenti accampamenti (romano e carolingio) e sulle rovine di un convento, nasce come fortezza con i Visconti di Milano. Passa successivamente ai Mandelli, ai Gallarati, agli spagnoli Omodei agli Sforza ed ai Savoia che insignirono del feudo di Piovera Francesco Maria Balbi, ultimo feudatario. Nel XIX sec. venne trasformato in dimora signorile dall'attuale aspetto romantico, senza però intaccare l'originale struttura a "U". Il castello porta ancora tracce di intonaco nero, forse a lutto per la morte di Napoleone Bonaparte.
Dagli anni Sessanta appartiene al Conte Niccolò Calvi di Bergolo che lo aprì al pubblico divenendo un pioniere e un esempio tra i proprietari di dimora storica privata.

In de rood/grijze kleurstelling die bekend staat als de 'Multiservices', is de BB15000 in Haute-Normandie met het grootste aantal vertegenwoordigd. Zo ook de BB15040, die haar Intercités 3115 naar Le Havre onder de brug, waarover de Route de Cléville loopt door trekt. Dit allemaal naast een kippenboerderij bij het dorpje Alvimare.
